I know it's overpriced but...

I have not bought anything from TRR becasue I found most of their stuffs are so much higher than other places I could get for and their pictures don't show clearly of the condition of the items as other consigments do, plus seems some of stuff are final sale, if I'm going to pay higher price, they better to be accepting returns.

They will accept returns if you have a reason such as damage not disclosed. They've actually been quite good about it for me. Hint: if you ask them for additional photos they'll email you back saying they can't do it but will say if you purchase and the item isn't as listed they'll allow a return.

I was watching a bag for weeks, feeling I wanted it but the timing wasn't really ideal for buying. Figured I'd wait and see if the price got reduced or if I felt more spendy. Eventually someone else got it. Do I regret it? Maybe a bit but I figure if I couldn't pull the trigger then it wasn't meant to be.

Yeah it's the spending more than the actual price perhaps...

With the exception of TRR the others I’ve seen have been around the same price range. Not sure of the answer to the second question just yet...

So by the sound of it most of you are a tad more willing to walk away from a purchase than I am. I’ve always said that an item is worth what someone is willing to pay and I guess that still holds true. So I just have to decide whether or not I’m willing.

In reality, this is the only true meaning of the value of an item.
If it remains unpurchased for any length of time, it's probably overpriced....but, what the Hell do I know?

Get it if condition is as good as you like, price is not everything, if you really want it miss it because of price is not worth the wait because takes time and energy look for it, time is more precious than money relatively speaking

Totally agree, unless it is above my 5K limit (I set myself that and made a promise to myself to not do impulse buying above that range), I will rather buy (usually new so no hassle) - the downside of it is that often while the bags are perfect, they are not for me, and after trying them for days or even weeks, I will sell them again and get pennies, or offers where I think they want to buy a plastic H&M bag

Buyer's regret for not buying or buyer's remorse if you do? That's the question, lol. Usually if I am that undecided for whatever reason, I will pass.

You have more will power, seriously, if I like something within my range and without going overboard, I will buy it, in my mind it often works wonderfully with my wardrobe and my style, reality often is different

I don't know if anyone who knows me would say I have that much willpower, but I do have many years of experience buying closet trophies, lol. Sometimes the thrill of the hunt is more satisfying than actually owning the bag :)

I hate buying on-line full stop.

I'm still catching-up with a credit note on Hermes.com that can't apparently be spent in 2 of the 5 Hermes stores in London, and can't communicate effectively with different 'reputable' French site that have my money but can't be asked to email me to confirm and ship. Right at this moment I am vowing to never buy anything, anywhere new or pre-loved that I can't see, touch, feel and smell whist in front of me.

Shopping should not be this hard.

Would I keep paying for an item that was sitting under someone else's roof? They'll have your money and the item. IM(recent)E my trust is burned.
