Try and take the bag and get some sawdust and bury the bag in it. The saw dust will absore the oil out of the leather or at least most of it. Call a home depo type store or a lumber yard to get a lage quantity of clean sawdust.
Fur coats are cleaned with sawdust. might call a furrier and see if they can help you out or advise you.
I know that this might not be a good idea but before I would give up on it, I would tie it up in a pillow case and through it in the washing machine. i know gasp! If nothing else helps, I would wash it, what else do you have to lose? I bought a ergo belted hobo that smelled like cigarettes (even though the seller declared it was from a smoke free home) I couldn't get the smell out so I washed in the washing machine, hung it up to dry and then conditioned it with apple conditioner and it looks and smells great, didn't hurt it at all.
