Congrats to you and your Fiance - it takes a while getting used to saying that, doesn't it?? My FI and I just got engaged two weeks ago - much like you, we'd been together for a long time ... five years!

Beautiful ring - congrats and enjoy your wedding planning when you come off the engagement cloud 9!

SuLi, congrats! I just noticed this thread. You're not alone, because it took my husband about six years to propose, and he DID propose in a restaurant *sigh*

But on to more important things, your ring is stunning!!!! :D

THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE! I'm so happy that I can share this with all of you!

I'm totally on cloud 9, especially since today is my first day at work as an "engaged" person, so I'm being bombarded by well-wishes (and plenty of questions) ;) ! It's certainly very distracting trying to get work done when all I want to do is stare at my ring :graucho: .

Couturegrl - the ring does have micropaving around it, but not on the band. I told my boyfriend a long time ago that I wanted a really simple band...and he clearly listened! The detailing on the side of the band it gorgeous - very much like Tacori rings. I really love my ring, and feel very undeserving of it. It was certainly a HUGE shock.
