Truth be told, the last few days were very rough - there was a family emergency that came up and is kind of resolved at this point. I have been so worried - unable to sleep or eat (which is HUGE for me because I live to eat). My boyfriend wasn't sure if he still wanted to propose this weekend, but decided to go ahead with it last night. I told my mom that I felt really guilty about being so happy, but she told me not to worry - that everything would be fine and that I should enjoy it. He asked my parents for permission last weekend while we were home for Easter, so they've known about it all week! My mom said that it was very hard keeping it to herself.
I was so excited that I barely slept a wink last night! I've attached some pictures...I wish I was a better photographer because my pictures don't do the ring justice! The detailing is fabulous and so delicate. The jeweler who custom made the ring was 8 months pregnant! My fiance (Wow! So surreal to say) was worried that the ring wouldn't be completed in time and made lots of clandestine trips from DC to Philly (telling me that he was "training" at work). He was so worried about the ring, but was very thrilled with the outcome.

Side note - my fiance HATES shopping, and yesterday, I dragged him all over the place. Thinking back on it, he was so incredibly patient and I did think it was unusual because he usually sighs his way through it. I guess he was also a little quieter since he was carrying the ring around his jacket pocket all day!
