I would either keep them and just not wear them, or give them to someone else in your husbands family. I don't think you should give them away/sell them to someone outside the family.

Run it by your hubby to see if he thinks anyone would be offended if they found out you sold the pieces. Would anyone really ever ask for them?

If you don't like them, you should put them away in a box and forget they are there for a while. The jewelry design might come back into style later on. That way if your MIL asks about them, you always have them. If she doesn't ask about them for five years, sell them or give them away.
