I feel really bad.
I listed two of my birkins on ebay. It's the firs time I'm selling something on ebay, but I am a member there since 1998 and always bough and have a very good feedback as a buyer.
Today they removed my listing saying this:

MC019 eBay Listing Removed: Trademark Violation - Unauthorized Item

The listing was removed because it violated eBay policy. We notified members who placed bids on the item that the listing has been canceled.

They say may birkins are fakes!!
How can they do this!!
Since my prices were not reseller prices and there was an identical one selling for double I think I was just bothering somebody.
Is this what ebay become?

I answered them, but still it makes me feel bad the somebody did this to me.

costa, you're not the only one. It has happened to me, and now I just don't bother anymore. The eBay service is awful! They seem to have established silly computer business logic to de-list items over a certain amount, or when the account has not been used for active selling. No reasons given

I have only listed once! Just once, and now my account is suspended. You know why, over a SGD6.61 listing fee. I have paid USD10 to cover for the listing but because there are 2 CCY accounts, and any PayPal payment goes to the USD account, my SGD account cannot be cleared.

I corresponded with so many customer service reps and I tell you, they are all idiots. All cut and paste answers, and they can't resolve my problem. I asked their Accounts department to transfer the funds from the USD account to SGD account. And you know what? No can do!

And my account has been suspended for over 1 month! :cursing:

Oh Dear! Looks like I shouldnt even bother to list stuff on eBay! I was hoping to use eBay to sell some of my other branded bags that I don't use anymore..... sighs. Seems like the alternative is to just give those bags away! sighs.sighs.

It feels really bad.

And there was a bag just like mine (if not fake) selling for double the price I have put on mine, so my suspect is this guy could have report my birkin to take me off!

I can't belive ebay works like that.

So there's no chance to find good stuff at reasonable prices because somebody is making war to you?

MrsS so sorry for you!

this is what they wrote me. Can you belive this??

Please be assured that your listings have not been targeted in any way. Although there may be similar items currently listed on eBay, we review all listings that are reported to us by eBay members or Verified Rights Owner (VeRO) program participants. We rely on reports from our members to help maintain the safety and security of our Community. We encourage you to report any items by using the REPORT THIS ITEM button on the listing so we can quickly remove any other items that should be removed.

Fakes can sell on e bay but my birkins can't because somebody doesn't want me to!

Costa, I'm so sorry for you, Sweetie, but this doesn't surprise me: eBay's new regulations are just appalling! I've stopped using it completely, and I know ladies who are having big problems with them.....

eBay was easier to work with when it first started. These days, there are so many "rules" and Mrs S is right, it is hard to get someone who can answer you correctly since they just cut and paste standard answers. I've had so many problems with BINs who don't follow through, hijacked buyer's accounts, listings being pulled because they think "Blue Brighton" is not a valid title (seriously!) and for alledgedly high shipping costs and NOT taking paypal...(apparently, someone had reported me for not accepting paypal as an alternative payment) or using the words "wire transfers" instead of "bank wire transfers". The list can go on and on...

Speaking to someone live is not much better. I actually know someone who used to work in one of the call centers. Seems like it is not a fun job. Apparently, the customer service rep do not get too much training (just a book from which to give standard responses) and they do get yelled at lot by eBayers...

OMG! I Think somebody should write an article on how ebay become...
Thank you Duna. It really seems I have to bring my Birkin all the way to Paris and exchange it there.
It's amazing how resellers or high end sellers can just pull normal price sellers out of ebay! This is really something we should reflect on.

Ebay doesn't know how H is spelled either... I have sold one item on Ebay- a scarf. I listed it as an "Hermès scarf" but when I realized that everyone else were selling their H items as "Hermes" I decided to change the item description but I couldn't. The only thing that happened was that I got a message saying that I wasn't allowed to ship the item internationally (it was due to that my Paypal account at that time wasn't verified)!!!!! I shouldn't have been able to list the scarf for the first place (as my Paypal account wasn't verified) but I could due to that I spelled H "Hermès" and not "Hermes". I had them to remove my listing and then had my Paypal account verified and then I was all of sudden allowed to sell my "Hermes scarf".

Costa! I am so sorry for that this happened to you.

The sad side of all this is that normal people/collectors cannot sell ther items at normal prices on ebay...

Hi Costa, I could relate to your frustration. Ebay policies are inadequate and offer no protection whatsoever for sellers from false reports or identity theft. I have my account suspended because everytime I listed an item to sell, somebody reported it to Ebay as fraudulent listing. I'm sorry it happens to you too. And ironically, there are many scammers out there listing fake items, yet nothing happens to them.
