I can definitely see your point, many things in stores these days seem to getting more expensive while quality has been going downhill (not Coach but as a general trend). And a dinky priced as high as some rogues also seems high. However, in defense of this particular dinky: it was the bigger dinky 24 with embroidery, genuine python skin and mixed leather patchwork so I don't think this one isn't particularly overpriced. Also a lot of companies that are considered more luxurious have way higher price points for things that aren't elaborate and not always better quality / design. I can post some photos once my replacement comes in (outlet shipping issues...sigh) :p

TOTALLY agree! Bags in general are through the roof, as are designer shoes. I have a hard time reconciling price tags these days for items, especially since I have many things that I bought years ago which weren't nearly as much and do seem to be better quality. Can't wait to see pics of the coveted Dinky!

Katev, is the center of your starfish a blueish color, or does it pick up whatever color it's in front of?

It is actually a golden yellow color but the denim color of the rogue makes it look a bit green or blue. It changes a little with the lighting.

I have taken some pics of the pendant with the ball chain necklace against a white background, see below.

I had a lot of help with this bag and I am very grateful. I really appreciate the outlook store manager that ordered it for me and very thankful to @Suzanne B. for bringing the tradesy auction for the starfish to my attention. I almost didn't buy it because the auction pics were terrible and I had never seen a good, clear photo of the pendant, but I am so glad that I got it - and only for $40!

I was in the Coach retail store on Friday and the manager recognized the charm and she really liked the way it looked on my bag. She gave me a better chain to hang it on the rogue - another thing to make me happy and grateful!

Wow, Kate, I’m happy that you found this at the outlet for such an incredible price! I didn’t realize you only paid $318 for yours! I purchased the dark denim 25 a few weeks ago for 416$ I think. I ended up returning and getting the dark denim in regular size, but it was $556! I can’t understand why they would be selling these at the outlet back in August for that price, then turn around and put them in the SAS for over $200 more. I absolutely love the bag- it’s my first rogue. Of course now I want another one. But I’m going to stalk the outlets like you did!

Also- dark denim is not a color I would even expect to find at the outlet. It’s a great color that will go with almost anything. I would love another one in light saddle or black but I think it’s too much to hope for to find basic colors like these at the outlet.

I know! I wonder if some of them were sent to outlets by mistake and then recalled? Because shortly after I got my Dark Denim Rogue at the outlet at such a great price, it was back on the Coach.com site and listed for the full price of $795!

And it stayed full price for a long time, even after the Holiday Sale began, other regular size rogues, like the melon rogue, were half-price but the dark denim stubbornly stayed at full price. I kept checking on it periodically because I was so surprised to see it still listed at such a high cost, it was finally reduced closer to Christmas.

But this is not the first time I have seen bizarre behavior between the outlet and boutique pricing. In December 2016 (2 years ago!) I picked up the Large Daisy Rivet Cocktail Ring at the outlet for only $34 - but then later I saw it back on Coach.com listed at the full price of $125!

And they are still asking full price for it 2 years after it was discounted and sent to the outlets, see the link below:
http://www.coach.com/coach-large-daisy-rivet-cocktail-ring/54975.html?searchkeyword=LARGE DAISY RIVET COCKTAIL RING

I could understand temporarily reducing classic items that make popular gifts, life briefcases, over the holidays and then raising them back to the retail price after the holiday season - but I can't figure out the rationale behind the temporary reductions on my Dark Denim Rogue and my Daisy Rivet ring - but I am sure glad that I lucked out and got them so cheaply!
