I am... Materialistic!?!

if you truly work hard, have a savings, have your bills paid, and still have the money, then you should be able to buy whatever you want and wear it with pride! If you are putting your LV on a credit card, or stretching yourself, then she is right. That is how I feel.

Omg. Have you guys ever been called materialistic by anyone before? I went out with my sister to eat dinner today and during the entire time, she was eyeing me because I was wearing my LV's and Hermes'; which I probably regret doing. Then she called me materialistic as if she has a right in where I spend my money! She doesn't have many designer brands but mainly because she doesn't work. I can say, without doubt, I work my *** off and work really hard. I juggle between school, work, and more school, and have minimal sleep. Unlike her, I don't go out with friends at all during the school semester because I have so much on my plate, which I am still able to manage.

Nevertheless, I was so furious and upset about her comment, it made me re-evaluate and think about what I'm doing. Am I justifying what I am buying, or am I really materialistic? What do you guys think? Have you ever been called materialistic? Ever questioned yourself if you over-spend?

And she has no right to ask your parents for one if she can't afford it herself, and she dogged you out for having one! To me a LV is a luxury item, and you should carry it if you have the money, it is a LUXURY and if you don't, you have no business. If you work hard, you can pride yourself on it. If you don't you look ridiculous.
Yeah, she did. She asked our parents to get her one because she doesn't work/earn money but want an LV. I'm assuming she wants one because she sees me with one? I mean, I can justify myself buying these things because I go to school + work on weekends to afford these things. But on the otherhand, she doesn't.

Yes, I have been called materialistic before by my friend because I like really nice cars. She was like: oh wow, youre really materialistic but you've never grown up in that kind of environment (don't know what this really means). I prefer to save up for big purchases instead of buying cheaper bag etc which may not last very long. Yes I admit I'm materialistic but I use my own money to buy my designer goods, as for my car, I pay half every month and I pay for gas.
