I am looking for an every day bag!!!!

I really want a MJ bag!!!! And I need something that I can wear every day, black, and it has to be a shoulder bag!!! Not too big and not too small (I'm 5'4) and I can't pay more than $1,200. Do you have any suggestions???? Thank you in advance!

P.S. I saw a big black tote (not patent leather) with a vertical zipper and a pocket on the front of the bag at NM a few weeks ago and I loved it!!!! I can't find a pic though. Does anyone know what I am talking about???? And how much was it?

That is THE tote that I was talking about!!!!! I LOVE it!!!! It seems a little big though but feels SO comfortable on the shoulder (tried it on a couple of weeks ago)!!!!! I'm going to NM today to see if they still have it and, if they do, it shall be my new perfect every-day bag!!!!!
