But how much is she entitled to in the divorce settlement, is signing the nda going to give her that much more?
Good question, they've been married 27 years so I would imagine she's already entitled to half of everything. Plus didn't she marry him when he was basically a nobody? I think she was the famous one at that time.
Makes you wonder just what he wants to keep quiet if the nda is worth more than half of everything.
Hopefully it's just a formality, seems like they had a good relationship. Hoping it's amicable!
seems like an odd formality IMO....if he has nothing big to hide, this makes it look like he does have something that's career-reputation ruining
He may very well have secrets, we all do! I just mean they didn't appear to have a tumultuous relationship, after this long together surely she wouldn't be trying to hurt him, so I'm speculating it's simply a formality.... insurance. Who knows!?
We know there are celebrities who have DATES sign NDAs to protect their privacy and image who don't have deep dark secrets to hide. So why wouldn't the same apply to a man divorcing his wife? An NDA can give him peace of mind that a publisher is not going to come along offering her a great book deal at any point where he would not have a say in stories she chose to share.
