I appreciate the celebs keeping things civil but saying you've had so many wonderful years together (which he did and Jonas too) seems disingenuous...if it was so wonderful why are you splitting?

Well Hugh Jackman was married for 27 years so he could believably say this. It doesn’t mean all 27 years were great but probably a good portion of those years were great. It’s not surprising that people in professions that involve a lot of travel and time spent apart could grow in different directions. Sad to see because he and his wife always seemed like a very grounded couple but believable. I forget which Jonas Brother is getting divorced but wasn’t he married for less than 4 years? In his case yeah I’d agree and say that type of statement is disingenuous.

Those two seem really strong, same values, a bunch of kids... I say they're together for the long run.
I agree…they seem good together and had their 4th baby recently. I was surprised to read about Hugh Jackman and his wife…27 years is a long time, but no guarantee…I got divorced after 28 years…
Had I divorced after a decade or so, I probably would have said the marriage had been good, but would have added that we'd remain friends. If your marriage is based on healthy friendship, you have a much better chance of it ending that way. I don't find it disingenuous at all.....for some couples. Look at Gwyneth and her exes, or the Willis/Moore family.
