So, I have a black/blu bucket that I've been using for months and didn't treat at all. I love how it's worn in - I've tried to avoid driving rainstorms but it's definitely been out in the rain, that's just unavoidable in NYC. Question is, I've got a Brandy/avion coming in April fingers crossed and want to know if I should be similarly carefree with it (I.e. No treatment). I love a good patina but don't like random individual water spot marks showing too much. Is this as much of an issue with the Brandy as the cammello? Should I just condition it with something rather than fully treat it? If so, what? And can someone please explain the damp sock and baby wipe methods people mentioned? Thanks! (I'm a newbie to this sort of thing having previously just taken bags for full protection over to leather spa, which is what I did for my mini royal/royal bucket ;) )

My Mansur Gavirel black/flamma bucket bag after 2 months of everyday use. This is such a perfect bag and I love it so much. I do not baby it at all, although I am careful about not carrying it in the rain. It has a few scratches and scuff marks but nothing major (the marks you see at the bottom is just the glare from the sunlight)

Now I had someone who has the black/flames bucket and she sprayed waterproof protectant on hers and hAd zero problems. I just got the exact bag last week and I sprayed mine with water protectant too! Leather did fine!

Been carrying my Black/Flamma for a while so about a week or so ago, I switched to my Cammello/Royal. I carried it quite a bit last year too, and I haven't exactly babied it. I don't mind the scratching or wear one bit.

I also have the strap tied so it's a shoulder bag at the moment.
