Here is my Cammello/Antico mini bucket after four months of use. It's just beginning to show its patina. I did spray it with Collonil Waterstop before using it. I also use Cadillac cream on it occasionally to keep scratches to a minimum. View attachment 2817337View attachment 2817338
There are hardly any signs of use. Did you use it everyday for 4 months? Could you please post a link to the Cadillac cream? Is this what prevented any scuffs from showing?

This is a lot of wear on the bags. I know that they are supposed to show wear since its naked leather but I am not sure if Veg tanned is the right way to go or the saffiano ::shucks:

I rotate my bags, so no, I have not used it every day. I have four Mansur Gavriel buckets and I'm careful with them, but I use them!

It is possible that the Cadillac cream has helped. I also sprayed it with Collonil Waterstop because I live in a rainy climate. I use that on all of my bags before using, no matter what the brand.

I used apple guard rain and stain - kind of the same idea. I prefer a more uniform patina instead of giant water spots etc.

Here are photos of my brandy/avion bucket bag after 3 months (used probably 2-3 weeks total). The patina is still "in process" but the leather has really softened. I treated with Apple conditioner before use, but have left the scratches/water drops alone for now. I have the black/argento tote and mini bucket as well, and the mini bucket is still super stiff. I'm really pleased with how pliable this bag has become - it feels much more comfortable to carry and to open/close.
