You're right...unfortunately these criteria are not always met. But it should be still be expected....it's our job, it is what LV expects from us, what we are paid for!
But there are nevertheless a lot of people who see work only as a means of getting paid...you also need a little bit of passion! And by the way, we don't look down on bad SA's, we just don't like working with them because they bring the whole store down and we are embarassed
to see how they sometimes treat our customers.

PS And yes, I work for LV

I'm waiting for them to drop a LV boutique here. We don't have one yet, and from what I hear from my SA, they've been contemplating it. I would apply in a heart beat if they did. I would have so much fun working there for some extra cash (I bet I'd spend more than I made there!)

Hi, this might sound like a wierd question but I've always been curious...

Is anyone a SA at an LV boutique or does anyone know of someone who works at LV? I'm just curious because I am a college student and live right next to an LV store and have thought it might be cool to work there as an SA.

If anyone can inform me on the salary/wages and hiring/interview process that would be awesome. How does one even get in the door? Also, do SAs get discounts? I've heard they get a certain % off display items that have been out for awhile but that's just a theory. Also, I've seen some SAs that have been my local LV for years. Do they get paid enough to turn their position into a full time career?

If you know of anyone who works at other highend stores i.e. Gucci, Dior, Chanel, Hermes etc and would like to enlighten me on your/their experience that would be awesome.

Thanks in advance! :smile1:

You can check out the LV website - they have a link for Employment. You might also ask at the store how they do their hiring. I believe that all of the SA are full-time employees - I don't think they hire part-time. Also, they get discounts but are limited sometimes in what they can buy - sometimes they have a 6 month waiting period for a "hot" item. They also have some sort of discount allowance that they can spend each year. I heard that there pay is average but they have good benefits (healthcare, vacation, discount, etc.)

My SA said that she leaves her LV uniforms at work and they are dry cleaned for free.

Good luck!!! I would love to work there, but I think I need to win the lottery first!!!!

I do. my best friend is a seasonal worker. she makes... i think $14 an hour. No commission and cause she's seasonal, she doesn't get a discount on lv items. Uniform is provided and free drycleaning.

I have always wondered this but does anyone know what kind of discount sales associates get at LV? And is there any amount of time you need to work there before you get the discount or a limit?? I know if you work at Gucci you get 50% off but I've always wondered about LV. If anyone knows anything, I'd appreciate it. I'm just curious :-)

To the best of my knowledge, LV staff get 20% products, but only get to spend approx. $2000 per year. Also, you have to wait until 6 months after a new product is released e.g. the phone charms. Someone did tell me how long you had to work there before the discount applies, but I've forgotten :s

oh wow! i cannot believe all the restrictions with the brand. but i do have to say, i like how they don't have sales on bags and that they destroy factory samples, etc. to keep the brand special.
