How to spot a fake

Sorry if this is listed somewhere, but are there any tell take signs (without a box) to determine if it's a fake? I saw some Loubs at my local goodwill, but I don't know much about CL. They were only $200.

I can't say for ABSOLUTELY sure without seeing more of the shoes, like their profile, but based on that shot, they look pretty fake.

There is a thread on here devoted to what not to look for when trying to authenticate CLs, but the general practice on this forum is to not list exact things wrong with the look of fakes, in case it helps counterfeiters in making the shoes look more authentic. It is quite simple to spot a fake in person...if you know what the real looks like. The easiest way for me to tell is by looking at the heel, Louboutin heel has very straight lines the fake will have a slight curve. You can find videos on youtube "how to spot fake Louboutin shoes"
