How to protect your shoes??

Hello ladies!

I just got back from my first trip ever to NYC and it was FABULOUS!! I am totally in love with that city! The shopping..the food!!

It was at Saks on fifth ave. that I bought my first pair of Louboutins. I bought the basic black Horatios and I them to death. I was wondering how you protect not only the leather, but the sole and heel of the shoe?

I live in Toronto and would appreciate it if any of you could point me to a good place to have the soles done before I wear them. I've heard that there's something you can do to protect the point of the shoe too?

ok, i just read another thread that sort of answered my questions. However, can anyone direct me to a good shoe repair store in Toronto, Canada? I dont' want to send them to a crap place and have them ruin my new shoes. THANKS!
