Hi! I have a question for you, if you don't mind. I am mid-20s, but I have kind of low eyebrows (i think due to my dao muscle idk. I've been trying face yoga but results are slow ig) and because of this, I also have a kind of droopy eyelid. I considered brow lifts, but I am young and terrified they will trim too much skin. Also not very intersted in the thread lift. I have double eyelids but my upper eyelid area is kinda fatty. Since I already have some fat in that area, is it possible to do this method of lid fat grafting to raise the eyebrows? Or would I have to get a blepharoplasty first and then add on the fat grafting? I am terrified of blepharoplasties bc my eyes make me look young and I don't want to get botched and look super aged. Do you have any recommendations?
Hi @softbunnies, hard to give an assessment without a photo. With droopy eyelids, I would suggest an upper blepharoplasty with ptosis muscle correction. If your eyelid area is already fatty not sure more fat graft will help.

I tried facetiming for the first time in years last night and wow! My face looked fine! If your face looks worse on facetime, then it is time for a lower smas facelift as it hides nothing. One of the reasons I quit Korean lessons was because it was on zoom and my face looked awful before the facelift. Here I am with no makeup on doing facetiming at age 57.5. I was asked if I would recommend getting a facelift in Korea if American. I said no because one cannot have a conversation requesting pds long lasting dissolvable sutures and not permanent sutures. One cannot ask for a free revision if it drops at 4-6 months. One cannot be prescribed prednisolone postop in Korea. And prices now in Korea are comparable to the UK and cheaper states in the US. I have yet to find a facelift that has held past a year in any of the Korean plastic surgery follow ups on IG without signs of failing. I also reiterated the importance of getting a smas lift over a deep plane lift.

@MissOrange , I was wondering: how are the scars on the sides of your face looking like? I desperately need to get my jowls lifted but I don't scar too well. I'm also Asian and I think generally speaking, Asians don't scar too well, right?

Would love an update pic if you wouldn't mind please? Thank you.
Hi @Lien, I’ll take pics later this morning to show you my invisible scars. I think it depends on the facelift surgeon. If he closes in layers then there is no skin tension and no scars but if he relies on pulling the skin together with sutures alone, then the tension is huge and scars may end up wide.

Hi @Lien,

Okay have just taken pics for you. Here are my scars today at 22 months post. You can see a very faint white line at the top end of my ear lobes but nothing below as the scars have vanished. He had cut along the inner tragus. The first step is to get Nick Rhodes to accept you as his patient. He is very selective as he is now super popular. The second step is to source a private prescription of prednisolone for one week to stop postop swelling.

Hi @MissOrange I've been lurking and following your posts. Thank you for being so honest. I find it so helpful when you detail what you've done so I can anticipate what I might need to stay young! I've got a question about rhinoplasty. Would you recommend east asian rhinoplasty to be done in London or SK? London is closer and more convenient for me to travel to. SK is a bit far. I am a bit concerned that London rhinoplasty surgeons might not have too much asian nose experience. I read from your posts that you once advised another member here to get it done in SK instead. Do you still feel the same or do you think that London surgeons can deliver the same? It seems quite difficult to look for a rhinoplasty surgeon who specialises in East asian noses in the UK.

Hi @okhello,

Wow bold typeface. Sure got my attention. I thought why is she shouting? lol.

Good question you ask. Even Lucian Ion asked me why I wanted him to do my nose and not a surgeon in Korea. At the time I had not flown to Korea for plastic surgery so had not done any research there. In hindsight I think Korea would have given me a bigger Western Greek nose as this seems to be the trend in K dramas which I would have loved. But when Ion asked me if I wanted a straight or ski slope nose, I said the latter, ie a Barbie nose.

I think if you don’t mind a small short upturned nose, then a London surgeon can deliver with rib or ear cartilage. But if you want a high bridge and bigger nose then go to Korea and find a surgeon who can harvest your rib cartilage or use ear cartilage. Do not choose silicone nasal implants as it will inevitably need replacing when the body rejects it or it gets infected. Because selfies make my nose appear bigger as it is the closest to the lens, then my face looks fine but if taken from a distance, then my nose is too small for my face in my opinion. The late Princess Diana and the late Farrah Fawcett had big noses which made their faces then look smaller.

Today‘s post is on facial fat graft. This picture made me laugh. I can so relate to the ageing face before my FL and the overfilled face when I eat a fatty meal and the fat graft expands. Do not get facial fat graft done in the US or UK, only Korea where they have been doing it for decades. I have seen some real disasters done in Western countries with faces full of lumps, scar tissue and lopsided requiring surgical lump extraction, facial liposuction and a facelift. My face looks overfilled after I have a meal with salt, dairy or fat as facial fat grafted cells love fat! I look fine like the middle picture if I am careful with my diet or first thing in the morning before I eat. If you embark on getting facial fat graft, know that you are committing yourself to a lifetime of watching your dietary intake of salt, dairy and fat. If you put resistant tummy or thigh fat in your face, it will continue to grow and expand when you gain weight. Fat is heavy so eventually it may drop from your cheeks to your lower face and cause deep nasolabial folds, jowls and sagging. Try only getting it to your hollow upper eyelids. If this is fine, then try it to your forehead and temples. To have a youthful face it does mean to eventually have it done to the cheeks and lower face but this is when you are committing yourself to watching your weight and diet forever.EAAD4130-AF37-4BDC-94AC-57AE3440F1A7.jpeg

Very very good point. I've had a very small fat transfer to my boobs. Even so, when I am a bit overweight, my boobs are enormous and when I am underweight they shrink to tiny little fried eggs, lol.

I’ve decided I look better without glasses, so last night I went out without my reading glasses. Excuse the hair. Did not make it to the hair salon and I am going to see if I can grow out my natural hair. I had wavefront lasik 2 decades ago so I can actually see without spectacles but got in the habit of always wearing glasses.

I found a Japanese plastic surgeon on IG and he also looks much younger than his age. Japan and Korea truly have worked out how to reverse facial ageing.284077E9-B7E2-4EF2-A313-1543823E2B5D.jpeg4A5B8613-B5AA-4F27-84CE-2454E5C4F3DE.jpeg

I learned a new term called RCTA (race changed to another) or race changed to asian. It seems young people on tiktok are obsessed with changing their features to Asian because of the K wave. I then thought bleaching my hair blonde, getting a double eyelid crease and sometimes wearing blue contacts, can be suggestive of RCTA? I don’t mind looking Korean though as I got Dr Seo to reduce the size of my eyelid crease but I seem to look better and brighter as a blonde than with dark hair.View attachment 5891417
I had talked to you about Do tor Seo before. Should you still consider having him to revise eyelid? I am free to go anywhere now. No more work lol. I was thinking going to him to fix my eyelid

I would be wary of people who push specific doctors. I've seen two girls on here go to Dr. Seo and have botched eyes, fat grafting, and nose. You might want to read this thread before making your decision: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/really-bad-des-revision-by-dr-seo-at-machimpyo.1058045/

Hi! I'm 41, and getting very deep nasolabial folds, maybe more rapidly bc of my previous vline surgery??? (Any input if that does that?) Anyhow, I'm going to get facial fat graft surgery while I get my revision rhino done. I plan to put fat on my forehead, temples, a little to chin/jaw, and nasolabial folds. I have flat saggy cheeks, will it be wise to get a tiny amount to my upper cheeks to make my face look more lifted or will it just droop over time? Also is it ok to put in fat to nasolabial folds or it will it droop/accentuate my deep folds more? Thanks for all your help!!
