Can you also name the clinics that did the work? Thank you
Hi @dori, sure. I shall add the surgeons and clinics as follows:

1. full face fat graft, including to the upper lids x 2 with 3 facial top ups £6000 (Dr HyoSeok Seo when he was working at the Most Valuable Plastic Surgery clinic in Apgujeong, Seoul).
2. rib rhinoplasty £7000 (Dr Lucian Ion, London, UK)
3. revision double eyelid surgery (upper blepharoplasty) £1667 (Dr HyoSeok Seo, MVP clinic)
4. chin reduction £3000 (Dr Lucian Ion, London, UK but I hear he may have stopped doing this procedure)
5. vermillion lip lift with excision of lip filler scar tissue £2500 (Dr Choi, MVP clinic)
6. bullhorn lip lift £2500 (Dr Caroline Mills, London, UK but she has retired from private practice)
7. smas facelift £3495 (Dr Nick Rhodes, Coppergate Clinic, York, UK). In fact only a few minutes ago I saw his mini video post on his IG talking about the op list for the day and the first case was face and neck lift with upper bleph which means he is still doing facelifts as there was a rumour he may have stopped.

Dear MissOrange

I have been following you for years because you are the real deal. You give great advice and this blog is a warts 'n all diary of your time in ps.

I would like to point out as you are too modest but you are a talented writer and thousands have benefited from reading your blog.

Also you have helped so many people both in your professional and personal life and thanks for all your advice.

Dr Seo is truly gifted as a surgeon. Dr Mills is very good but no longer accepts new patients.

Remember if you don't get haters/ nutjobs/ shills, you aren't reaching enough people.

Thanks MissOrange
Awww thank you @dannythedragon. You are too kind. You have also been a great friend and support for me in London through my ups and downs of plastic surgery over the years. It is wonderful to meet people you can sit down and chat with in real life and talk about a taboo subject your family do not want to hear about! lol.

When travelling to Korea, join plastic surgery kakao groups and make friends so that you are not totally isolated in Korea. You will spend hours hiding out in your hotel room postop so it is nice to chat in kakao groups and as long as you meet in public places at daytime, meeting in person is fun too. I have chosen a burger king and a mcdonalds in Seoul to meet kakao friends, not for the cuisine, but for the safety factor…cctv and a crowd of young people. Then you can go for a korean bbq as a group. Try not to go out when the sun sets if you are a single female travelling in Seoul and I never drank in Korea as you need to be vigilant at all times as a solo female tourist. This meant early dinners and starving at night in Korea on a GMT time zone! lol.

Love your transformation missorange!
You were already gorgeous before the surgeries though, but more rejuvenated now.
Could you let me know which clinic you went for your chin reduction and how many mm of bone was shaved? Did you get the height and width of your chin reduced? Is there anything you’d do differently about your chin?

Also planning on getting a chin reduction (height and width reduced) along with a genioplasty to move it forward as it is recessed a bit. Really worried about the sagging though as I’m going into my late 30s now and already have sagging from the jaw reduction from my early 20s I wish I have never done. Probably aged like 10 years due to it. Anyway TIA!
Hi @momoji, thank you!

I think Dr Lucian Ion shaved a cm off my chin. He shaped it too. He stitched the skin up internally so it did not sag after. I could have waited until I was 60 as facial bone resorption increases after menopause and my chin will become even smaller as I continue to age. I am looking forward to smaller cheekbones with age but worry about an ever shrinking mandible.

Thank you so much!! Can I ask what are your thoughts on filler to the bridge of the nose instead of surgery?

i just got a full facial fat graft-- is gaining weight necessary, or is maintaining fine? did you find any resources online that mention how to help fat grafts thrive better? (ive gotten a lot of varieties of advice from plastic surgery clinic websites lol)
how is your result so far? might be too early to tell but keep us updated! after 6 months it should be what you see is what you get. May i know where did you get it done?

Hi @beepboop4, after the face deswells, the grafted fat in the cheeks may drop to the lower face in 4-6 months or the fat reabsorbs leaving the face sagging. It is harder to maintain the fat in the upper cheeks as fat is heavy. Think of breast fat transfer and similarly it is hard to keep the fat graft in the upper pole as it drops due to the weight of fat. I recommend facial fat graft in the forehead, temples and upper eyelids but when it comes to the cheeks and lower face it is very unpredictable. I have had to have numerous repeat fat grafts to my cheeks and lower face as they reabsorbed unevenly, my lower face became sunken and my face sagged. Eventually one retains enough in the face and a lower facelift lifts up the fat graft and repositions in the cheeks better. In other words, once you have fat graft to the cheeks or lower face it is hard work to then maintain or try to achieve a lifted look as fat is heavy and if one gains weight, the fat hypertrophies and drags the skin down and causes nasolabial folds to appear. The lower face loses fat graft faster as we move our mouth when we eat and talk so a full face fat graft may end up very uneven and need multiple attempts to fix it. Facial fat graft in the cheeks and below takes a lot of persistence and repeated grafts to achieve longevity. I’ve actually got too much fat in my face in my honest opinion. But with aging, the facial fat will slowly go down so hoping I can have a slim face in my 60s. I always wonder what I would have looked like had I not had fat graft in my lower 2/3rds of my face and just stuck to having it in my upper third.
did you have the 4th facial fat graft and the fats finally stayed? i read somewhere that you had like i think 3 full face fat grafts before.

its been awhile, did the fats on your upper eyelids stayed? did you have hollow eyes before?

does it mean you dont recommend fg to cheeks? im thinking of having some fats grafted above my cheeks/below my eyebags (because theres a dent/line) to make my eyebags less obvious. Do you think its worth it or should i just not touch that area?

sorry for all the questions .its really hard to find many people that has done fg.

Thank you in advance.

now way that you are in your 50's. you look so good!
I love how my Korean surgeon Dr Hyoseok Seo calls it Natural Baby Face Surgery. He truly is the best in the world at facial rejuvenation with fat grafting. He filled my forehead, temples, eye hollows, cheeks, smile lines, and chin with top ups until it was permanent and of course did my upper bleph too. Amused he calls the upper lid hollow the eye hole. My youngest sis now says she wants fat grafting to her upper lids like I had as my eyes look good. Not sure how to book him without MVP manager Ellen as he runs his own clinic now. I could be a model for his clinic! lol. Actually Ellen the manager of MVP used to tell me Dr Seo owed so much to me as many patients came to Dr Seo at MVP because of me. I was just happy to have a Korean meal with Ellen and the staff and other patients in years gone by.

Yesterday my 58 yo American high school classmate asked for my secret to not ageing a day. Thank you Dr Seo! He rebuilt my sunken menoface. Maybe I should lead a tour group straight to Dr Seo’s clinic! lol. Then a tour bus full of younger faces would leave his clinic and hotel. I must say the eyelid surgery with lid fat grafting gives immediate results and knocks off 30 years in one afternoon! The full face fat graft needs weeks to recover from the swelling and brui

I've been following you for years now and your journey is so impressive! Thank you so much to share everything with us and your wise words. This year I will be finally able to fly to seoul. You mentioned you just sent a photo to various clinics and asked them for their recommendations to make you beautiful - which clinics would you recommend for this? If I remember correctly you like MVP clinic and Dr. Seo. I don't know what procedures I need, so it would be great if I could get a good doctor's opinion, but if I look around reddit and other forums, most patients know exactly what they want to get done. Which plastic surgery clinic and dermatology clinic would you recommend from your experience? I was thinking of the Brain Plastic Surgery clinic or Renewme Skin Clinic.

Hi @cherryzz, I had 3 full face fat grafts and 2 top ups. For the upper lid I had it done twice to stay.

Fat graft under the eye should be fine. I guess the malar cheek might be fine too. Ideally take a week of prednisolone post procedure to prevent swelling and facial disfigurement. In hindsight I wish I had known to avoid the skin laxity that follows within months. I kept flying back to Korea to fill my face with more fat without realising I was stretching the skin more and more with each fat graft+swelling. I finally stopped this cycle with a facelift. I probaby had enough fat after the third round, just needed to address the loose skin with a facelift and not more fat.

Hi @Rensera, I initially emailed BK clinic and ID hospital. BK said I needed full face fat graft and upper lip filler removal based on my photo I emailed. ID said I needed double jaw surgery. I also emailed a consultancy that gave 4 korean clinic (Regen, Cinderella, Banobagi and ID) price quotes but the list of procedures suggested were so long and totalled over 20 million won. They did all consistently suggest full face fat graft and revision double eyelid surgery.

Because of the huge cost, I decided to figure it out myself on the cheap side and started with addressing my wrinkled and hollow eyes at MVP with Dr Seo in May 2016 for £1667 (3.5 million won) when the won was weak vs a strong pound. When you do go to Korea it is also a good idea to get a few free face to face consults. On my last trip in 2020, all the clinics (Namu, Girin and View) said I needed a facelift. But the prices were high for me, ie all above 9 million won (£6k). Because of this I started researching facelifts and chose my surgeon in the UK in 2021 as he charged £3495 (5.5 million won) as it was during covid and travel abroad was banned.

I guess in the end I did spend more than 20 million won total doing it my way but at least I got to handpick my surgeons and spread out the healing and cost over the years.

thank you for responding.

were your eyes hollow? you dont look like your eyes were ever hollow based on your photo.
does that help? thanks for the advice, i wrote it down already.

should i avoid fg to my cheeks?

did your fg at any point got lumpy? if yes how long did it take for it to resolve on its own?

Is there any reason you chose dr seo from mvp? i went to their website and i dont see much about FG

Hi @cherryzz,

Yes my upper eyelids were hollow and my eyes very old and tired looking. Here is a b&a. By filling up the hollow with fat graft and taking away the wrinkles with des/blepharoplasty with ptosis correction, I instantly looked younger. I highly recommend this as the first surgery towards rejuvenation.

Yes I reiterate do not get fat graft in the cheeks. I still wish I never had as it defeats the purpose of buccal fat removal which I had had years before and when I smile the fat in my cheeks bulge out like chipmunk cheeks. And if I gain weight, the nasolabial lines return.

Yes, I have one lump from fat graft to my forehead but it is only noticeable when I frown. It has not gone away. Thankfully no one notices it so it is small enough not to be obvious. I accept this as a small complication to the many fat grafts I have had and this fat graft was done late in the evening when the surgeon was tired whereas others were always first thing in the morning when the surgeon was fresh.

I chose MVP for my fat graft after I had fat graft at DA clinic that distorted my face and made me look like a monster. I chose DA initially as they offered a facial fat grafts with 2 top ups for cheaper than MVP at the time. I saw the b&a photos of fat graft on the mvp website so decided to ask Dr Seo who did the fat graft to my eyes to fix my DA facial fat graft and he did. I was very pleased with the result and it lasted 2 years before I asked for a top up. Dr Seo no longer works at MVP as he opened his own clinic Machimpyo. Maybe that is why mvp does not advertise fat graft much? He was their main surgeon for this procedure. Dr Seo's current prices for facial fat graft are 1.1-1.43 million won and for prp fat graft 2.2-2.75 million won.

Hi MissOrange, did you ever experience undereye loss of volume and/or eyebags? I know you had fat graft to the upper eye hollows and that made a huge improvement but did you also have fat graft directly under the eyes too and that's why you don't have volume loss there?

You strongly advise against cheek fat graft, do you just mean that outer part of the face? To make things easier, see the attached facial chart if you want to specify by number. Do you think fat graft is okay for that triangle area beneath the eyes and next to the nose down to the NL folds (areas #6,8,9,11,13,14 in the chart)? Is that where you had it? Or would any of that lead to the chipmunking you are describing and you do not recommend fat graft there? Thanks!

OH MY GOD. Seeing your BA photo, its making me feel hopeful.
