Hi Missorange! Thank you for creating this thread and staying active throughout the years
I recently had my first facial fat grafting (midcheek and nasolabial folds) and I regret it so much. I was hoping to look a few years younger, however I ended up looking 10 years older... It seems that my doctor misplaced the fat grafts, depositing them
above the nasolabial fold instead of properly filling out the fold itself. As a result, I now have more pronounced folds/shadows on both sides of my cheek. I can also feel distinct, firm lines where the fat was injected (maybe scar tissue from the cannula + fat?). From a side view, my lower cheek protrudes far more than my midcheek area. As the swelling has subsided, everything looks worse - with the folds becoming deeper and my philtrum appearing approximately 2mm longer. Additionally, I have noticed a bulging fat pad adjacent to the corners of my mouth. this procedure made my entire face look saggy and my smile no longer looks the same. Also, not sure if this is abnormal, but during the first week of recovery I could not smile at all, the area felt extremelyyy heavy.
I brought my concerns to my doctor he just brushed me off and said 'trust me, I wouldn't make this kind of mistake', told me not to worry and was rushed out of his office.
I am currently 3 weeks post op - although I know I should wait at least 2 months to have the microswelling fully resolve, I think most of the fat that I currently see is here to stay?? Is there anything you'd advise me to do to 'get rid' of the extra fat within the nasolabial areas before the fat fully settles and integrates? Will radiofrequency (like ultherapy, shurink, thermage, or morpheus8) be beneficial for my case?
Thank you so much in advance!!
