Hi @MissOrange would you consider scar revision for your periareoler scars? I had areas of very slight hypertrophic scarring on my anchor scars from breast lift and my surgeon revised those areas. So far they look much better.
Hi @calihapagal good news that your scar revision worked for you. I am too traumatised to have another op on my right periareolar area after periareolar mastopexy, revision of periareolar area, laser third degree burn to the area losing flesh, burn surgery to debride and close the area and a test patch laser that flattened the area but widened the scar and spread the pigment. I shall wait it out in years and see what Nature does now. Scar revision would cost £1-2k here. I could experiment with scar camouflage makeup if needed.

Because facial bone loss is inevitable with age, do you recommend facial contouring surgeries in our 20s and 30s?
Hi @cute2stunning, it depends on how big the chin, jaw or zygoma is. If it is way bigger than normal, then bone reduction to what is average would be fine. The problem is when young people take it to an extreme and reduce their facial bones a lot. We have to wait and see what happens to their faces, ie do they get extreme premature aging or facial bone collapse after the menopause? My OH says not to touch my cheekbones as they would reduce naturally, especially by my 60s when bone loss speeds up but then I am worried that my reduced chin bone may reduce further with age and I do not need it to. If you look at older people, ie over 60, you can see that many have chins and lower jaws that are shorter and thinner from bone reabsorption so the facial proportions are not equal thirds.

Do your friends and family know you’ve had extensive cosmetic work done? Are they supportive of you?

Also feel free to ignore if this is too personal, but do you have a significant other and do they know about your procedures?
Hi @cute2stunning, I had my first plastic surgery in my 30s…breast implant and upper eyelid blepharoplasty as I was not happy with a B cup and my Asian lids were hooded with ptosis so I looked sleepy. The majority of plastic surgery work I have had done between ages 49 and 56 after the menopause wreaked havoc on my face and breast implant explant needed fat grafting to fix the asymmetry. I think at this age friends and family are more accepting than if I were 18. Of course I let my husband and friends know especially when flying out to Korea. I made some good plastic surgery kakao friends who checked up on me frequently to make sure I recovered from plastic surgery and did not end up in the Han River as I went from consult to consult eager to fix a deflated face in 2020. lol. I would absolutely recommend you inform family and friends in case something happens.

My 40th high school reunion is next month. Instead of flying out 7,500 miles, I have emailed a pic collage so they know how I look 40 years later, from a shy nerdy high school senior photographed in the 1983 class yearbook (a year younger than my classmates as I skipped a year) to a Swan transformation. lol.

Well, that's what confused me. The doctor said he didn't inject any fat there. And the bulge is only temporary swelling from the thread he put.

Thats why im asking is it natural to put thread in under eye fat reposition.
@beautifullife1212 You asked for under eye fat reposition as your under eyes area was sunken. It looks like fat graft has been repositioned as requested or swelling. I think only your surgeon will be able to tell on examination and palpation. If it is fat graft then speak to your surgeon about ways to reduce the fat or wait it out as fat graft reduces by 50% if you do not feed the fat cells.

Hi @beautifullife1212, threads are placed to lift the lower face. I think there must be a misunderstanding in the Korean translation. I am sorry I cannot help you. This is between you and your surgeon. It is one of the difficulties with booking surgery in a foreign country and you have to rely on a third party interpreter. I was fortunate to have Ellen, the manager at MVP who translated perfectly as she had studied in Canada so was fluent in English as well as being Korean. The manager at Fresh clinic also speaks fluent English as well as being Korean. It is even better if the Korean surgeon is fluent in English. In the UK and US one can ask for a copy of the operative notes to see what was performed during surgery and what sutures were used. Alas this is not the case in Korea.

As someone who's a terrified of Aging and seeing signs of it what is the best procedure to get now that will allow me to age the most graceful?
Hi @itsnyk1, it depends on your age. In your 20s use spf 50 and avoid sunbathing. In your 30s, upper bleph if you have ptosis. In your late 30s xeomin botox for forehead wrinkles and radiesse dermal fillers for nasolabial lines. After a decade you can stop the botox as your forehead muscles will have retained memory. In your late 40s consider facial fat graft instead of fillers and a bullhorn lip lift for a long philtrum and no upper tooth show. In your 50s a smas facelift with postop steroids. In your 60s a neck lift. In your 70s a deep plane or another smas lift. Keep your weight normal or slightly under as being overweight weighs down your face and neck with heavy fat which stretches the aging skin which lacks collagen.

Hi @tweedledee, flattered you have been reading for years! I applied to Princeton the same year as Brooke Shields. I was shy and lacked her beauty at interview. She got in and Harvard, Yale and Princeton rejected the ugly, shy Korean class valedictorian at interview. To think 40 years later, as a 57 yo I think I may even be better looking than a 58 yo Brooke in 2023 as I have undergone rejuvenation and she has not. But never will I look as beautiful as a young 18 year old icon Brooke!
love your hs reunion pics MissOrange! I have been reading your thread for years. We both look younger than our hs pics after surgery. Surgery can do so much!

Here is a collage of my aging face throughout 5 decades. Ideally you want rejuvenation to make you look like your younger self but a prettier version. I can still see similarities to my younger face which is good as I don't want to look like a completely different person, just a rejuvenated one, like fixing up a 50 year old classic car for bargain prices. The two things that accelerated aging for me was having babies and the menopause. Full facial rejuvenation cost me at least £17k (with haggling in Korea and seeking the best price in the UK) not including travel expenses (smas FL £3.5k, upper bleph with fat transfer to lid £1.67k, rhino £7k, facial fat graft x 3 £3k, and bullhorn lip lift £2.5k). If you blow the entire £17k on one deep plane facelift, then you have nothing left for upper or lower bleph, lip lift, facial fat transfer x 2, tip rhino, etc. and your face may be left only partially rejuvenated. Shop wisely or just copy what I did and seek out my same surgeons.
