I've only tried the Shiseido and I love it. My eye is slightly almond-shaped (thanks Mom!), but not as well-defined Asian as yours. I think it'd be better if you could try both curlers personally.

i used both. i prefer shu but i like having the shiseido for when i travel or something just because it's cheaper (depending on where you buy from...i get mine for $10!), easier to replace the silicon pads, etc. the shu makes a prettier curl for my eye shape, though. i have both the mini and the regular, just for reference.
Shu Fan!! Sometimes they run a promo where they give the baby curler away, but I LOVE LOVE my BIG one. I bought both!

The little one is for the corners, and yes, it pinches. Or maybe I'm not doing it right... But since I've been using Revitalash to help condition and grow my lashes, I haven't used the small one for a while.
Plus Shu sometimes offer the small one as a bonus when you buy something... I've seen them offer this up twice already, so I don't know if it's an annual thing.
But get the BIG one! You'll LOVE it!

I have caucasian eyes but it works wonderfully! 
I have had the same Shu eyelash curler since the beginning of highschool, and I have used it pretty much every single day. [10 years have gone by since I first got it

I like Shu much more than Shiseido's. Shiseido seems to pinch my skin more..and Shu holds the curl better.
