Scarves How old were you when you had your first H scarf ?

i received my first Hermès scarf when I was 18
The I stopped wearing scarves when I reached 40 because it made me look older
Now I am 60 and happy to wear them again from a few years ...but only with a casual look and relaxed style and the knot is never sophisticated

I bought my first scarf when I was 28, a Mors et Gourmettes in blue. I bought another one after that, Beloved India, which I gave to a friend a few years ago when she got married to an Indian guy. I told her to frame it.

I stopped at 2 because I realized I'm a very casual t-shirt, pants, and sneakers kind of guy, and scarves don't really belong in my wardrobe.

I think I bought my first 90 silk, first year college, in 1985. my favorites from college were napoleon with jaquard bees; an orange scarf entirely covered with gray and white golf balls; voitures au transform ? In blue; and astrologie. i stopped for years, then picked up with mouselline and CSGM.

I think whether a scarf makes one look "older" depends entirely on the design of the scarf and the way it's tied/styled.

Fell in love with the design. I couldn’t NOT buy it. To be honest, a H scarf doesn’t exactly gel with my everyday casual look but I make it work.

I have about 4 now and waiting for my 5th, my HG. Then I think I’m gonna stop before it gets serious.

About 32! I used to be very reluctant in wearing any scarves as I always thought they just make you look older and mature. But now I absolutely love wearing scarves - just buy designs and colors that are younger and make sure the style and look is clean. They are so versatile!
