How often do you switch up/rotate your fine jewelry?

I’d love to see pics of your ring stack and your daily jewelry! Like you, I am rather lazy about switching jewelry, which makes me very hesitant to build a huge collection. I don’t wear rings, bracelets, or necklaces right now because of that.

I do have a small earring collection, which I do change out everyday based on what I am wearing. So I try not to accumulate too much so it makes for easy decision making. Right now I have a VCA sweet butterfly earrings, Cartier rg love hoops, Valentino Yg Rockstuds, and diamond studs. I want some black/onyx earrings and some jade ones.

I’m in the process of finding a new wedding/engagement ring or Cartier love bracelet and I don’t know what to do because it’s been so long since I’ve worn rings or bracelets.

Sure! I’ve posted my rings on quite a few threads so it’ll be no surprise to those who’ve read many of my posts haha, I’m sure I’m spamming some people at this point:lol:

here you go! (Not my real wedding band btw, needs to be resized, it’s too big because I’ve worn my pieces for so long that my ring finger got pretty skinny)

Love these! And you have great hands!

I like wearing the same jewellery every day and I think it covers any eventuality. Double diamond studs in each ear of differing sizes (I'm an 80's girl, lol), solitaire diamond necklace, 2 eternity rings (all Blue Nile), solitaire diamond engagement ring and wedding ring (Oxford jewellery shop), Tiffany solid 18K bangle (which I think I put up pictures on TPF many moons ago) and a Citizen Eco-Drive watch which I don't have to worry about re. any new watch strap or battery replacement, unlike a more expensive watch which I love but is such a hassle and expense to deal with (I'm sorry I wasted the money on it tbh).
I do have a couple of other pieces I can throw into the mix on occasion, but I feel very comfortable with my day-to-day wear for everything - it's taken me many years to reach this point. I don't want for any more, I'm very content with what I've got. If ever I do use anything else, I'm right back in there with my core jewellery the next day.

I don't have many fine jewellery (in fact just slowly building up).
Before deciding on buying another, I'll always consider if it can be worn daily without the need on removing (due to comfort for sleep, shower, etc), because I don't really enjoy changing out jewellery every morning.
This also means I won't be owning many haha.

I don’t have a lot of pieces either and prefer to keep it that way (apart from my long term wishlist of classic staples). I don’t want to have to spend time deciding on which jewelry fits my outfit of the day - which already takes up too much of my time already

To curb my lust, I have been living by this motto lately: Just because it’s beautiful doesn’t mean you have to buy it.

I love reading this. Reminds me of the days i really loved/bought beautiful hermes/chanel bags and i can't even wear them now during the pandemic.

I will remind myself too for jewelries.

I don’t buy fine jewelry unless it’s something I would want to wear 2-3 times a week. I can’t afford jewelry that sits around, which means I’m not a collector. I wear jewelry in phases. I’m a lazy person so some things I don’t change. I always wear my band and ering. Usually sweet pave studs and a watch. I change my bracelets and necklace daily. But I only have 3 bracelets I like wearing and 3 necklaces. Buy what suits your personality and lifestyle, makes you happy and gives you peace.

I certainly love my staple fine jewelry pieces, I just am drawn to other shiny sparkly things . I don't want to be a collector, I too do not like it when things just sit around.
Though reading this thread definitely helps curb my want of more fine jewelry haha. Never say never but it good to hear everyone's thoughts and habits.
What bracelets and necklaces do you usually wear if I may ask?

I wear the same delicate jewelry everyday (necklace, earrings, bracelet and rings). I will change it up slightly when I have an occasion or evening plans. For example I wear my delicate diamond necklace everyday, but may switch for another diamond necklace or layer the two with a statement ring if I’m going out.

I also have my everyday jewelry in white gold or silver so will switch out the whole lot every couple months. I don’t like mixing metals.

I always thought I would wear the same pieces every day, but in reality I tend to rotate my jewelry. As I have acquired more pieces, I rotate them more, but not enough, and I end up switching it up with the “low hanging fruit”: things that I have readily available, whatever’s new or that I have hanging about. I prefer to keep my jewelry in a safe so I wasn’t getting the most out of my pieces.

Last week, I installed a small safe in my walking closet and pulled the things I want to wear often out of their individual boxes. I’ve rearranged them in plastic boxes so I can see everything I have there. It’ not a glamorous solution but I hope it’s a practical one. The special occasion pieces are still in a deeper safe. I hope this easier arrangement will help me rotate my jewelry more! I tend to coordinate my jewelry to my outfit, occasion and venue (I’ve mentioned before that I live in a super dangerous city, so many times this is what dictates my choices) so I hope to start having more fun choosing my jewelry in the morning.

I’ve kept all the individual boxes to switch back in case this doesn’t work out.

I wear the same few items, plus and minus some rings depending on my mood but i have a WG set and YG set that i rotate between.. so if i am usually wearing black or cool toned clothes, o kuch prefer my WG/silver jewelry and vice versa for yellow gold..

I dont mix metals but usually what i buy, i make sure it matches within the same colored gold jewelleries

My earrings are now down to 3 pairs of Chanel costume ones.. i have 3 WG rings that i rotate among.. 1 of it being my wedding band. And 4 YG rings which i wear on different fingers. I have 2 YG bracelets , to wear on its own or stacked. And 3 WG bracelets, to wear on their own or stacked..

Oh recently i sold my VCA alhambra pendants for 2 Cartier solitaire necklaces, 1 YG and 1 WG. Thats it. Oh and i have a white j12 (usually pair with my YG set) and black J12 watch (usually with my WG silver set, i wear this one more, automatic with date) each.

That sounds like the perfect minimal collection to me! May I ask which YG pieces you have specifically? (Rings and bracelets). Thank you!

I rotate my pieces regularly. Usually I match against my outfit for work or dates/outings. Eg. Pink Frivole when wearing more feminine clothes and Kelly amulet when wearing pants.

I don't have special jewelry pieces for special formal occasions. Can't justify that kind of luxury for my current lifestyle
