How often do you rotate your bags?

until recently (within the past month) i've always been a one purse gal..... then i found coach and this forum and i now have 3 purses (well.... 2 for sure... one may get returned?)

i'm already wondering how rotating two purses is going to work... how they will get the use to rate their cost....

then i see you other gals with 10..... 20..... 30...... and more purses... do you change your purse everyday like you do your outfit? do you wear a purse for a week, then change? how do you do it so it makes it "worth" having multiple purses?
I'm wondering the same thing? I just got my first bag from coach, the legacy bridgit in black. I bought it after reading the threads about it . Its the original legacy leather, so I know it was worth the money!!! It was only $150.00 but to me thats an investment. I'm a one bag kinda girl so thats why I chose black. I love the function as well, the bag is flawless!

I typically switch when I get sick of the bag I am carrying. I'll also switch if i have a bag that would look amazing with the outfit I am wearing. Or if I've been wanting a new purse and can't afford one. I'll switch like daily then.

I need to improve in this area . . . at times, I will rotate day to day, but usually, I carry the same bag for about a week straight. It's easier that way, since I keep my bags in boxes on the shelves in my closet, and it's difficult to pull them all down/sort through them. I definitely need to figure out a better storage system.

I'd like to get in the habit of carrying one bag for about 2 weeks or more. For me, I almost feel that by changing daily, I don't get to truly enjoy each purse.

My bags vary from a little drawstring bag to a backpack; so, I have a hip pack, laptop bag, lunch bag, etc., and you can see the variety of events or objects where they would be necessary. However, I also have several different bags that serve the same purpose, i.e. 4 reg. handbags, 3 wallets. This is when I either rotate every few weeks (not pairing them w/ any outfit in particular as they are all neutral or classic basic colors except for one) or use the older ones only and save the newer ones more and wear them rarely for until the older ones wear out.

I'm going to have three Coach bags this year.

The Francine will be my work bag, the Hippie for my errand bag and the Leather Frame purse for special occasions like dinners, clubbing and parties.

I have spent close to a thousand dollars on these items. I think they will be my bags for a long time.

Mine's more of a collection than anything else really so I've never used most of them. I'm using more and more these days though. There are a few that I won't use unless it's a specific special occassion such as my wedding day or soemthing. It also depends on which bag it is and what's their history. A brand new bag is less likely to be used for me while a bag that I got from eBay or somewhere else that's in mint or used a few times condition....I won't even hesitate using them. This is why I don't mind buying used bags for a really good price cause it motivates me to use them!

Mood and what I will be doing that day. Shopping will require a shoulder bag, I don't do well carrying a satchel with shopping bags.

But mostly my mood, sometimes I look at one of my bags and realize I 'miss' it and switch it right away.

I usually match my handbag to what I am wearing, the weather, and what I am doing. Sometimes I tend to get in a handbag rut and wear the same one for a week or so (usually it is my LV monogram speedy).

Depends on what I'm doing that day (function and size), what I'm wearing (color), and the weather (a couple bags hate rain/snow). When I get a new bag, I tend to go with that first and choose an outfit to suit the bag...lol.

Like you, I was a one bag girl until I found this forum and was assimilated into the collective :borg: Welcome!

Me too. I try not to buy to many funky/odd/extreme styles so that I'm stuck with something that only works with one outfit. Instead, I rely on classic designs and colors in black, red, brown, muted metallics, (or mono canvas for LV, Novacheck for Burberry) so I can carry them more often with the occasionally crazy color like my tangerine Bulga butterfly, or my Green Hype, thrown in for good measure. I usually switch when I'm sick of the one I'm carrying (this is usually 1x a week), or have a bag that I know would be a PERFECT match with an outfit I'm planning on wearing.

BTW strawberryblade, you will LOVE your Francine (if you don't already have her). She is huge, but SO polished and lady-like! Great work bag!
