How often do you change bags?

my pre-bag lovin' days...i used to buy a few bags (maybe like 3 Guess ones, etc.) for the year and I would wear those until they broke or something else caught my eye...
I still used to buy a lot a no name bags back then but I tend to stick to the same bag simply because it was easy and most of my bags back then were simple so they would match almost every outfit...so it just wasn't convinient to switch out of that bag...
But now that I am a major bag lover...I buy new bags on a monthly basis!
I switch on a daily basis and sometimes up to 3x a day if I go home a few times and change throughout the day...however, if i'm using my LV Speedy (for example) then I might stick with it throughout the week if i'm only going to work...since it matches everything and i'm too paranoid to bring my more expensive bags to work.

i dont change my purse like every day, i always have this work bag that i use daily. i dont frequently change my bag (for work) and sometimes im juz lazy to change it at all so i stayed with one brand style bag in a couple of weeks.

I think most women that are not members of TPF carry the same bag week after week for maybe over a year or more until they are tired of it and it starts to show wear. Some women may switch to a summer bag in a lighter color or canvas. I think it is those women that are into bags that switch frequently.
Pre-tPF, I didn't change my bag all that frequently. Usually, I'd continue using a bag for a few months before switching to another one. Post-tPF, I still don't change it as frequently as some ladies here (e.g. daily or a few times a week), but I change my bag more often now, maybe every few weeks rather than every few months.
I think most "regular" women (read: not into handbags the way we are here at tPF!) probably change their bag only after months of wearing the same one, with some who definitely use a bag daily for a year or longer (my mum's one of those). I live in a seasonless part of the world, though, so I can't say about changing bags for summer/winter etc!

When I was "regular" I would find a black bag that I liked and carry it forever. Every now and then I see something different and if it struck my fancy, I'd pick up a new bag from time to time, but mostly, I had a daily driver. Eventually I started to think in terms of seasons, then shortly after, I got into different brands and it's been out of control since. Now I probably change every 2 - 3 weeks, or until I wear something that calls for a change.

Back when I was a party girl and went out every night, I matched my bag to my outfit.
Now I use a bag for 2 weeks to a month depending on what I need, small vs big. Sometimes I'm lazy and just stick my small ones in my big ones
! I always switch when I buy a new bag. I switch into clutches for night-time events, or make sure the bag makes the outfit if I am going somewhere during the day. I'm always at work, so lately it's been my briefcase everyday!

After tpf, I simply just bought boatloads of purses and now have a bigger selection.
Recently, I've sold quite a few and am reverting back to a more simple approach.. a few classics and that's it

I change it according to my outfit. I live in California and it's almost always warm here ... so seasons don't really get taken into account (probably just me, of course!). I'm all about matching the color and texture of the outfit.
