My SO is 10 years older than me. The only time his age had an affect on me was when he became a grandfather for the first time about 2 weeks after we started dating (13 yrs ago). I was 37 and he was 47. He had his kids young and I felt much too young to be thought of as a grandmother.

In the meantime my SO gets called Grandpa Terry and I get called Peggy which is fine by me. I adore our 3 grandchildren but still don't want to be called Grandma!
