How many non-designer bags do you own?

I have purchased longchamp and herve chapelier which I certainly don't consider designer purchases. I love not having to worry about throwing them around, rainy days, sporting events, and are great when traveling.

since i'm still in high school, i have a tote that i carry my books in, and also a cute black bag and a cute brown bag that i bring on school field trips (i.e. last year i went to canada for five days and this year i'm going to disney world for four.)

i had a coach agenda stolen from me on a field trip, so now i'm iffy about bringing bags with me to school, field trips, etc.

I have some very funky vintage bags and several non-designer. I sometimes fall for a really great bag from Anthropologie, say, or one of the mid end designers. My collection is eclectic. I like unique things so picked up some fun bags in my travels as well that are not designer but remind me of the place and time. I have a lot of designer but it's not all about the label for me.

20 give or take a few.....I was a handbag freak looooong before I could afford designer bags. I will either give them to my neice, or keep them and use them occasionally.

[Like you i've been a handbag junky( hehe) since i was about 12. I just love getting a new handbag. Then i started getting into LV and that was it.. the non designers started leaving the closet.

Piles of them! My interest in bags stems from a love of leather. I tool it for a hobby, and always appreciate quality craftsmanship and a nice hide. There are a number of "non designer" makers out there producing beautiful goods. My collection includes M. London (1), Ellington (6), American West (2) (the vintage stuff - to my eye the newer bags are not so well done), Fyre (3), Ralph Lauren (2), DKNY (1) and a few hand-tooled bags by individual artisans. I love them all, and carry a different one every day. Doesn't mean I'm not longing for Mulberry or a Marc Jacobs, but quality-wise, I think the aforementioned are just as nice.

I would say close to maybe 50 of lower end premium bags - all of which I bought during college or right after when a baby phat, nine west, guess, dkny and dooney/bourke were hot stuff. lol how cute. I am attached to my handbags and all of them have nice memories and I can recall purchasing all of them ... such sweet memories!

My first designer bag was an Ungaro, my second a Pucci summer handbag.

One of the next bags I get may be a Longchamp, the type you can special order on the site. I love being able to pick out the hardware and colors.

I've got a bunch of them and I never use them anymore. I was all depressed the other day because I had to use an Anne Klein bag because I didn't have a more high end bag that went with my outfit. Is that pathetic or what? :shame:

I'm thinking of taking some of them in to a consignment store, because most of them are like new and then I can put those funds towards a new purse that I'll actually use.
