This varies from person to person. For me, I think it's 10 BUT I have every category covered. If someone had 10 Seedy's, I don't think they would have enough.

I think every woman needs:

An everyday fall/winter bag
An everyday spring/summer bag
An evening bag
A crossbody bag
A beater bag
A travel bag (can be the same or different as beater bag)

For me there can never be "enough" handbags. I carry one every day. I rotate weekly so every one gets used. I utilize different SLG's, bandeaus, and bag charms to make the experience with each bag different every time I carry it.

I guess you could say its my "hobby". A hobby that serves a very useful purpose in my life and it makes me very happy.

You know, life can be tough sometimes. When I get down over work or hubby or whatever - I can just head to my closet and tinker around with my collection. I've got it all catalogued and organized so nothing gets left behind.

If my taste changes I'll just sell and fund my next "must have". Hehe :laugh:

I am a minimalist (if LV ever had one, :faint:) so I would say to have an evening bag (my damier ebene 25) a everyday bag (my neverfull), and a travel bag (my keepall). And a few mixed in, both LV and non LV.

I had a Speedy 30 for a few moments a month ago but decided to sell it because it's the same purpose as my neverfull.

I'm probably not the person to ask since I live simply but also luxuriously. :lawl:

What I have learned is the more new bags I purchase means the less I carry the ones I already have. I think its better to really get some use of what you already have and apprieciate them, bond with them:heart:. Save your money and then when one of your bags has "had enough" and its time for it to go, then you have that money to buy a new one.

You have a gorgeous collection. I think everyones needs are different. I've wanted to add an Eva to my collection since I started buying LV. It's a beautiful little bag and I really love it but for my lifestyle, it's more of a want than need. For someone else, it could be a necessary item in their collection. So it's hard to say what you need to add, only you know that.

I will have 8 bags when I'm done revising my collection and I don't want to have more than 10. It may sound like a small number to some but I don't switch bags as often as others, so it takes me a little longer to use everything in my collection. This is just my number, it's not that I'm opposed to someone having 50...this is just what works best for me. Like you, I don't want to have too many and I want to use them often. Good luck on deciding the additions to your collection. From what you have already, it's sure to be amazing!

I agree. I am trying to edit myself down and I think my collection is going to be:

parnassea alma in a neutral color
speedy b as beater/casual bag (empriente and canvas)
chanel M/L as dressy bag

and a le pliage for beater purposes. I can't imagine wanting any more than that, but maybe it's just me?

i am a guy, but i think you can never ever have enough bags/luggage/shoes...there will always be this one very special occasion when you really need a very special bag/luggage/shoe - and you just don't have it!

It's each to their own. For me I can never have enough bags, I'm not one for several of the same bag or very similar bags but as long as I love it, I want to own it and will find a reason to use it

Thank you, everyone, for all your input! For me, I feel like 7 is the magic number, but I totally agree that each one needs to fill a need/niche. But it's so addictive, and so much fun!!
