How many coach bags have you bought this year?

I bought a couple Coach bags years ago and loved the brand but could never afford to own a lot of bags. Fast forward a few years and many life changes: Stuart Vevers has made me fall in love with Coach again.

Boutique: Melon rogue, black rogue 25, rexy/carriage kisslock in chalk, prairie satchel in stone.
Outlet: Black small Kelsey satchel

I was just thinking about this a few days ago; I've bought a crazy amount in 2017.

I bought the Prince Street Satchel in Navy last fall (picked it up on a whim at the Bay) and loved it so much that I then bought the Ace Satchel in Black. I passed by Coach during the semi-annual sale in the beginning of January, and that was the beginning of the end.

I spreadsheet this kind of purchase to make sure I'm aware of how quickly my collection is growing, and to make sure I'm not buying near dupes; I do the same with makeup too.

Soft Swagger (37732) - Dark Gunmetal/Navy
Mercer Satchel (37167) - Light Gold/Fog
Swagger Frame Satchel (37182) - Light Gold/Chalk
Primrose Satchel (37934) - Silver/Turquoise
Turnlock Carryall 29 (37782) - Light Gold/Forest
Brooklyn Carryall 34 (57276) - Gunmetal/Surplus
Western Whipstitch Rogue (58122) - Black Copper/Prussian Black
Rogue (38124) - Old Brass/Chalk
Dinky 24 (55148) - Black Copper/Butterscotch
Dinky 24 (38286) - Dark Gunmetal/Black
Rogue 36 (54556) - Black Copper/1941 Saddle
Dinky - Customized Tea Rose NYC (37296) - Black Copper/Black
Slim Trifold Wallet (57197) - Black Copper/Hay
Small Trifold Wallet in Cherry Print (21783) - Black Copper/Chalk
Small Trifold Wallet (58851) - Black Copper/Black
Turnlock Tote (57443) - Dark Gunmetal/Cherry

I've bought almost everything on sale; the only items I've paid full price for is my Chalk Rogue, my customized Dinky from Coach House, and the Cherry Print and Black Small Trifold Wallets. Everything else has been at least 30% off, and most was 50%.

I just spent a couple of happy hours cleaning and conditioning all of my babies and rearranging the top of our closet to fit them all. My husband told me I have way to many purses, so I suggested that he marry a man next time. I tried to explain that some are totes and bag organizers (I bought three Le Pliage Shopping totes in Europe this summer because they were so much cheaper) but it didn't work. "They're all bags." Men.

There isn't much left that I actually want now; I think I'd like the Steel Blue Rogue and the Chalk Rogue Tote if they come on sale, and I would definitely like a red bag, but then I think I'll be covered. It's typical of me to build a collection of something and then only buy very occasionally for the next few years. I've always bought 3-4 purses at once and then used them up, but I fell in love with Coach this year and have bought way more than I ever have in the past.

It's been fun. :yahoo:
Lol @ marry a man next time! I like that!!

It's almost impossible to make any money on Coach bags. I'm a Coach lover and I buy a lot of Coach bags. When I am tired of a bag and decide to sell it usually I lose a lot of money.

Yup this. It is especially hard to make money if you are buying new from store/site, and trying to resell (i.e. being a reseller). Maybe if you manage to find some gems in the thrift store for $5-10 and can rehab and sell for $25-50 you will do better.

I just don't understand these resellers who buy brand new from Coach (either FP or on sale) and then turn around within days or weeks and try and sell them - advertising "sold out!". While I have bought Coach pre-loved (my Rogue 25!) I won't pay the prices some resellers are asking for. Come on, I know that bag was 50% off a few weeks ago, why would I pay you full retail price now? Or sometimes above it to cover e-bay/PayPal fees. I'd rather buy a pre-loved (but well cared for) bag that the seller is offering for a lot below retail than pay a reseller almost retail (or above it) for new. I got my Rogue 25 - used once but still had some tags/wrappings on zippers - for landed cost (including duties, taxes) at 50% less than retail.

Initially i bought a Coach hologram leather wallet only for my personal use. Then i decided to get a Coach hologram market tote! But when i waited to have enough money to buy it. Out of stock online and in store!!! but the only place i could find was on eBay and market price were surprisingly higher than its official price (there were about 10 listings) So i waited again but never stopped watching them.
Until recently, there was only one listed, and it was marked as $1200 AUD!!
And now i couldn't find even find this last piece, but a second hand/used with a price of $700AUD!
.... my profile photo is the bag of my dream!!! Have been dreaming about this bag for so long!! but I still feeling lucky that i was still able to get some hologram wallets in AUS at 2017 hahaha.(even though hologram wallets started selling in 2015 in the US.) Would be the happiest person in the world if i could get a hologram market tote with an affordable price!
this is how i started my resell journey~ but doesn't seem vey positive. i guess i mistakenly thought other buyers can be as obsessive with certain Coach bags as myself.

I love these bags myself. And they are all my personal favorites. But i cannot afford to buy them all, so i buy them and feeling happy just by watching them. Hehehe.
Sometimes when u missed your chance of buying certain things and u can never get them again. But consider my financial issue, i had to resell them. And even bought a bag from UK Coach and used expensive shipping redict company... i personally not making money from selling on ebay but i would see it as an expensive collection hobby. I bought it even though i never used it. But i feel satisfied that i used to own one!! Lols. I would say im not a profit reseller but selling on ebay is a good rescue to my Coach bag obsession! All im saying is my motive of reselling is not because im money driven, but my passion devoted to things i love. However in reality, i could not afford to really own one. As long as i can sell these for the price i paid. Im safisfied with the whole journey. Cheers m8

I guess I do not understand how if you cannot afford them you are buying tons of them including some duplicates (and using your expenses to do so, or financing them?) to resell. If it was about the love of the items you would buy and use them. It is unrealistic to expect to get what you paid for them taking into account landed costs of redirecting costs, or ebay and paypal fees, or costs of financing if that is what you are doing.other Coachies have access to Coach online or boutiques as well if they had wanted to pay FP.
