Until I die.

Or at least until I'm a little old lady in a nursing home and I no longer remember my own name.......

Actually....... maybe the nurse will ask me what my name is and, after a little hard thinking, I'll shout out "Birkin!!"

I have been wondering about this too ..... do they have big cupboard in the nursing home? big enough for my orange boxes? :p i want to bring them along with me ..lol
Oh dear... I think I need to get a pm picotin, it will be a great companion when I need to take my daily walk at the park ;)

I have only been interested in Hermes for the last year (or just over) but just recently I can feel the addiction taking hold.

My H wishlist is definitely longer than any of my other 'addictions' now and I can feel the love for others slowly diminishing.

We should start raising funds for an International Hermès Nursing Home, where we can all bring our bags and staff has been instructed on leather care. :amuse:

and during craft time, we can all make & decorate paper kelly bags & play H tangrams!

I don't really look at most other brands for leather goods anymore. Not that I close my eyes to them, but the craftmanship is usually not the same. When it comes to other things, H is not often making things that appeal to my taste, so I buy from other places. Also if I want something completely customized, I go outside the big brand distribution. Love altan bottier, mary beyer, zsolt zòlyomi serge amoruso and similar kinds even though the wait is sometimes.. =(. Still cannot find any fashion house making the same great silk designs thoughI swear I try to restain myself.. =P

I've been told by numerous SAs that I'll probably need to go to Loro Piana

This can be dangerous! The last time I popped into Loro Piana for a 'look' I left with a gorgeous grey cashmere blazer... at least when I pop into Hermes I'm expecting to leave with something :D

My H 'addiction' has been active for less than a year, but I'd always admired H products, and imagined I'd buy some when I was older (I was correct, of course! :D )

I recently bought my mum (age 53) a 90cm silk carre and some scent from H for her birthday. She'd never dream of treating herself to anything from H, and I was wondering whether she'd like it or not... but she loved it! She loved wearing the carre out to supper the day she received it, and she has the carre hanging over a statue when she's not wearing it. She's even kept her orange box and booklets in the orange carrier bag, subtly on show in the corner of her dressing room! Bless :p Now I need to decide what to get her for Christmas... maybe a scarf ring and another silk carre, or maybe a beautiful cashmere shawl... or a purse... :yahoo:
