How long is your City's shoulder strap?

Hee hee :laugh:... I hear 'ya on that account FiatFlux ... no way could I wear my Part-Time bags across the chest (the bag would rest directly under one boob!).

I really prefer the Part-Time over the City now. It just gives me that little extra room and I love the fact that both the shoulder strap and handles are longer.

The handles are longer! It's my favorite thing about the PT. My PT handles fit comfortably over a heavy jacket with room to spare.

The shoulder strap is also longer and long enough to be worn messanger style if you're fairly small (which I'm not!).

But is your pt with giant hw? If so they are much longer. I'm asking about the regular hardware handles on the pt.

I recently purchased a Black city from Bal.com and was wondering about the length of the shoulder straps. Mine is barely long enough to go over my shoulder and doesn't seem usable as a shouler bag at all. I have seen other pics of ladies with their cities and some are longer to the point that they almost hit the hip area. Is there a difference in strap length? Can I find a strap to purchase that will lengthen my city? Thanks ladies!

I'm really not a shoulder bag person, but it would be nice to have that option. I've had the bag about 3 weeks so I don't know if I could/should return it. It is a beautiful bag, so I might just keep her. Hope you find your perfect Bal sandeyes! :D

Just got off the phone with a SA in NY and he said that all the cities have the short shoulder straps -- I am going to try and locate a longer strap from one of my Bal shoulder bags and use it that way. The leather will match because it came from a Bbag so I think it would look ok. Maybe you should try that instead of giving her up?

Yea when I first got my City I was shocked by the shortness of the strap but I think it will stretch over time.

EDIT: I just measured, my City's strap is about 48cm/19inches.

I love the length of the city strap. It places the bag at my waist level which is where I want it to be. That being said: the city bag really isn't a "strap" bag to me. I only carry it this way when at Whole Foods or shopping where I need my hands. It looks cuter imo carried on the arm (and is light enough to do so!)
