great thread! i was gonna ask this same question too...i've gone without a watch for like a year now and after seeing some on ebay, i thought it was time to get one....wasn't sure what kind of quality they were but knowing they are made by movado puts me at ease....even though i've never owned a movado, i know they are very high end.
I've always wanted a Coach watch and this thread helped push me over the edge now that I read they're good quality. I bought one today from the Movado factory store! I'll show pictures of it in this thread later on today.
In the meantime anyone, where do you take your Coach watch to get the battery replaced? Just curious for when it's time to do it.

^^wow, you got a great deal on that watch! It's pretty! The one I bought today looks different but is basically the same with the date and time and a thick band and mine was closer to $150.
Any jeweler will be able to replace the battery. I took mine to one in Ann Arbor to have the battery replaced. Prior to that I took it in to Wal-Mart (yes I know, I was deperate) and the girl wouldn't touch it, they didn't have the kind of battery it requires anyway. Most high-end jewelers do! HTH!

I used to have a Swiss Army watch that my jeweler could not remove the back so he gave up. lol! My husband tried to get it off himself and scratched it all up, still he couldn't remove it. That watch has been stored in my drawer for years and I hate it. It was a big waste of money. I actually needed this Coach watch I bought. I have a Seiko kinetic watch but it stops working if I do not wear it for over 10 hrs., I get sick of re-setting the time & date all over again on it. My new Coach watch uses the wonderful battery, I won't need to re-set it. yay!!!!!

Thanks I was so excited when I saw the price. I had a $20 Nordstrom note also so I only had to pay $79. Dillards was still selling it for $300+.

For some reason I believe my Coach watch ALWAYS has to be reset if I do not wear it for extended periods. I do not know why, I'm completely clueless when it comes to anything "operational" but I do know in the mornings when I go to put it on time has stopped like an hour after I've taken it off? I guess it's a function to save the battery. I'm so lost when it comes to all this. I have the silver bridle watch. Here's a pic I borrowed from the bay. It's my fav watch ever!
That is a beautiful watch, I love the mesh band and the face. That's too bad it stops, I don't think it would do that to save the battery because watch batteries last a long time nevertheless. Is it still under warranty? I would send it in if it is. Mine came with a two year unconditional warranty from the manufacturer. I've only had mine a day and this morning it had the right time. The date hadn't rolled over, though. I forwarded the time 12 hrs. until the date rolled over to 25 then set it to the correct time again. Now I need to monitor it and make sure the date and time remain correct. I have 10 days to exchange it if something is wrong with it but no refunds. Yeah, I really don't think your time is supposed to stop. could your watch be what is called an automatic, also called self-winding watch....my hubby has a croton watch which is an automatic, as long as you're wearing it, the movement of your wrist keeps it going but once you take it off it stops ticking after a while...automatics don't use batteries...if you hate having to reset the time each time you're having to put your watch back on, they have watch winders that will prevent your watch from stopping when you don't wear it. hope that helps, btw your watch is beautiful!
These are high end quality watches. They're Swiss made by Movado, and the materials used are the same as Movado branded watches.
Coach plated jewellery on the other hand is made in China, and no better than poor quality costume jewellery. I have 2 Coach watches and they are beautiful! No problems at all, and they look new afters years of wear.

Any opinions on the quality of the Rose Gold Boyfriend watch? They have a 2 year warranty, but what happens after 2 years?

The watches are very nice quality, on par with Michael Kors or Fossil watches. Very fashionable, and will last a long time if you care for them. I have seen 10-year old Coach watches that still ran like new. Just keep the battery changed as needed and take care of it, and you should be fine.
I am not trying to be rude, but I'm married to a "watch guy" and I just want to clarify something here. Coach watches are a brand licensed by Movado Group. Same with Juicy and Lacoste watches. They are not Swiss-made watches by Movado, and will not have the same parts/materials as Swiss-made Movado watches (I'm wearing a Swiss Movado right now.) As far as I know, Coach watches do not use Swiss movements. I would guess they are Chinese or Japanese quartz. Nothing wrong with that.
I'm not saying the Coach are "bad" watches, because they certainly aren't. They're ver nice and I'm considering one for my next watch! I just want to be clear that you are not getting an $800 Swiss-made Movado when you buy a Coach watch.
