i want to take my zeldas out instead of my clompy rain boots, but i just want to make sure the leather will be okay! i already apple rain garded it...
how does HH leather fare in the rain?

I don't own any of the boots so I can't really speak for how they handle in the rain. But my gray Tharpe got wet a couple of times and dried almost instantly. I have never put any leather protector on it so must be something they do to treat it. So I would say it fared really well.
Follow up- wore these out in mucky rain weather and they did alright! however, i did use apple gard rain protector beforehand
