How Does Gucci Manage To Stay In Business?

I think it depends on where one lives. I think Gucci is more popular in Europe ATM and has a growing following in Asia. I am seeing more Gucci bags in London particularly the G-print canvas.
I agree the bag sections of stores are not as busy as LV or Chanel or H in London or Paris when I have been in many of the stores stores but Gucci sell many items that H and LV have more trouble selling like RTW (Harrods is virtually empty of the most popular sizes of clothes by the middle of the season in most sizes) and Gucci out-sell all those brands in the shoe dept and jewellery. I think Gucci is very popular with men too, Gucci's menswear dept is often busier than the women's.
