How do your bags make you feel?

I love this thread! I've been contemplating this question abstractly, especially after my last purchase (2 in one shot- gulp!) I have to say that they make me a little guilty because I grew up poor, my mom still struggles with money - and when I think if I had just given that $to my mom...but this is a slippery slope of thought.
They mostly make me feel glamorous. ;) I don't spend much money on shoes or clothes. (This is not to say i dont enjoy fashion, i just enjoy affordable fashion) I spend money on my bags. In another thread I compared my feeling to that of wearing a new dress on date night. It flatters you perfectly and you feel great stepping out. I get that feeling EVEY time I step out with my bag! So if you look at it that way, it's a better investment. ha!

Sometimes I've felt guilty over a purchase, but it's mostly to do with the price versus the wear the bag will get. My everyday bags are nice leather bags but I save the Mulberries and Love Moschino for evenings and special outings. The only problem is, I rarely have time for the "special outings"! :p

When I buy a new everyday bag I know will get a lot of wear, I'm thrilled. My latest purchase was a pink Ted Baker hobo on eBay and I was overjoyed when I picked it up. The same goes for the lovely aubergine Lumi Supermarket City I got from le BF for my birthday a couple of weeks ago - seeing the bag still makes me feel sooo good and I find myself cradling the bag like a baby when I'm sitting on the bus. It's something I've wanted for a while now and I got it from my true love for the first bday pressie. We're both really happy; I got what I wanted and he bought himself a year of time! :lawl:

I am always looking at other people's bags. I don't judge necessarily but I think women should dress with quality over quantity. If half of these women spent money on one good bag instead of 10 cheapies or knockoffs- they could actually afford the real thing!
