My bags make me happy!! I never feel guilty because I never spend beyond my means. I don't own any premium designer bags because I don't like paying to advertise for an already rich company. I'm happiest when I find a great quality bag for a great price. I love getting compliments. I love when i catch someone staring at my bag trying to figure out what kind of bag it is. I also love the smell of leather!

So good to hear

Carrying my bags makes me feel happy and that's as it should be :smile1:.

Very occasionally my bag makes me feel paranoid. I see a tantruming child with an ice-cream...I see a friend finish her chips, and reach towards me...I see a drunk waving his next full glass of beer near me at a gig...Someone at the gym suggests I leave my bag in a flimsy locker...:wtf:

My bag must be big enough to contain everything I need or...might need. Then I feel secure.
If I happen to carry a smaller purse....I feel worried....

I love a big bag & like you carry all sorts to cover every eventuality! I carry flat shoes when wearing heels, spare tights, a scarf, wet wipes & my phone charger goes everywhere with me just in case I get stranded somewhere! I feel empowered with my bags, almost like its my toolbox containing the tools to deal with any situation that arises. X

That is an excellent response. It's one of the reasons why function is often more important to me than brand, designer, trend, etc. I need to be able to put everything in my toolbox, and in an orderly manner, so I can be prepared to face the world!

My bags make me happy and proud when using it (or them). Because to get my dream bag, I should save a lot of money first. Maybe not everyone can have the opportunity to use the authentic designer bag, so I feel proud and lucky to have and use it. I treat mine like a baby and always aware for any dust, water, and etc that can ruin my bags :roflmfao: Maybe for some people "it just a bag, so what's the big deal?"... but for me "it's a big deal because it's my bag and my precious one" :p

My new Le Pliage makes me feel like I've got the right bag. Super light, designer but not really expensive. Nobody wears it around here, so it's not been done to death. It feels like the right "tone" for me who's quite frugal and who lives in a country where being frugal is seen as a good quality. Most people won't know what it is, but I doubt anyone in the know would judge me for wearing a "student's bag" here.

I feel happy and elated but guilty at the same time, I know that I can afford to buy nice things for myself and realistically shouldn't feel bad about it but I do feel kind of frivolous at the same time. I also hope no one notices them as fear being judged and the dreaded question of how much it cost!

I also get the guilt. I know I have paid too much for some of my bags, and I know I have too many of them in general. But nothing beats that rush of buying and carrying a beautiful bag. It's just when I see them all together that I realize I have probably gone too far. :amazed::amazed::amazed:

Happy...'grown up' lol (I'm 46!!!!) Chic, cool, bratty (haha) .. did I mention happy?!!!! I love my bags..my collection is well rounded as well and isn't over the top..I have about 16-18 bags and they are all dif designers, shapes, colors, styles etc..in fact I am very satisfied with my collection...the only thing I keep looking for is a Balenciaga city w/ giant hw...I can't decide what color I want. (!) Plus they are hard to come by new-used.. :(

I use a Le Pliage regularly as a changing/diaper bag & also for university. When I use it as a changing bag, it reminds me that I'm still young & fashionable as well as being a "sensible" mum with responsibilities. When I use it for Uni it reminds me why I'm studying (for my son) . I don't think you would be judged at all, it's not what you wear it's almost certainly the way in which you wear it ;-) & I'm sure you carry it off quite well. Congrats on your new purchase I hope you enjoy it.

Agree !! That is an excellent response.

While for me, my bag simply makes me happy.

Ready for the day. I pick my bag based on what I will be doing that day. So, it must suit the occasion and can fit all the stuff I may need. :)

I feel confident and fantastic. I go to Old Navy, Forever 21, or the Dress Barn to get a cheap but cute/pretty dress, and out I go with that on and my designer handbag of choice for the day. I used to spend a TON on clothes but ever since I became a bagaholic, I just buy basic outfits and awesome bags to let the outfit pop. I dress around my bags!
