Absolutely! No bag will remain perfect through its life, but that's how life works with everything as well. They should be appreciated through all their dings and scratches for how beautiful they still are. :D
I could never imagine trying to keep a bag mint forever, I'd be too worried!

There's no shame in caring for the sleeves! I lost my Chanel shades years ago at Six Flags but kept the pouch they came with and still use it for my Coach shades. Those shades are scratched up to death and a lady at LensCrafters once told me I should consider a new pair and I was crazy for asking about new lenses for them. Don't try to make me feel bad about them! She pretty much told me I can't get new lenses in them because they're too old and it was not worth it. I'll just keep wearing them anyway??? I
love them and remember paying the $65 for them on sale like 8 years ago. I was young an it was a lot of money for me to pay. I'll wear them until they fall apart.

Wear your jacket and messenger in the crappiest weather until they're crappy as well, if it makes you happy! Use whatever you want as a wallet! :)
Things can be repaired and restored, have fun with what you own in the moment. :heart:

UPDATE: I visited Prada yesterday to ask about repairs, the SA said the rippling is due to the water damage having stretched the leather and the outside of the wallet is made from one large piece of leather it's not something that they would be able to fix or replace. 😔 It has been sent to Italy for inspection. Still no word about replacement from the inlaws X

I'm sorry your in laws are not behaving as honorably as one might hope in this situation, but it's good to hear that you have some lovely new bags.

I hope the people in Italy can fix the bag for you. And that you in laws pay for the repairs.

They make me feel stylish, elegant and successful! I can upgrade every look with a nice handbag (just imagine jeans, flip flops, a $ 5 t-shirt and a Chanel Jumbo!). I also feel that I am prepared for every occasion when carrying a beautiful handbag (going into a fancy store or restaurant, even if the rest of my outfit is plain and non-designer)! Furthermore, I feel proud because I paid for them with my own money!
