I know this is an old thread, but at the moment it's a topic I'm interested in.

I'm caught between removing two links, which may make the watch too loose (it flops and bangs into my wrist bones) and three links which may be a little too snug (it only sllides about an inch up from lowest part of wrist.) Advice please!

I would go with snug the way you described it. My watches fit the way you described when it's warm but when the weather gets cold, it does get looser. I can't stand it when my watches flop around, plus I don't want my sapphire crystal damaged when it moves around my wrist :p.

I wear all my watches snug. I cant stand it when my watch is loose and slides around my wrist and then I need to turn the watch to check the time.

My new Michele D/D S/S is loose enough to move up my wrist but won't turn to the other side which is just how I like it. think it is because I have a small wrist and the face is so big. Strap watches - always tight.

Exact same watch and I do the same thing. When I use the alligator strap I wear it tight.

I like it when the watch is just tight enough to barely slip one finger between the band and my wrist.

And that's exactly the way that I had my watch fitted. I think it looks attractive worn super loose and drape-y, but I can't stand how that feels. One finger of space lets my watch drop to just below my wrist, but also allows it to be pushed up to somewhere on my arm where it stays put. It also help my OCD fear of scratching or banging up my new toy.:p
