I use my Madison wristlet as a "tech case" to tote around iPhone accessories (earbuds, usb cord, charger adapter, cleaning cloth) as well as a couple flash drives.

I used to use a wristlet as a wallet, but found it terribly difficult when I needed something quickly (ie ID at a bar...had to shuffle through other cards, etc.). I wound up buying a wallet at the outlet.
However, I have two wristlets that I carry all the time. One holds "To Go" make up--lip gloss, etc--the other holds bonus items--medicine, mirror, blue tooth. I would never give them up!

I have various uses for the 3 that I have:
one of the "classic" signatures (and the only siggie I own) holds my digital camera
the black leather legacy 06 holds my iPod and earbuds when I travel
my teal capacity holds lipglosses, powder and the like and is always in my bag
I need to get some more capacity wristlets as I like them best and they can seriously hold a ton of stuff. I can't use a wristlet for a wallet it just doesn't work for me.

I need to get some more capacity wristlets as I like them best and they can seriously hold a ton of stuff. I can't use a wristlet for a wallet it just doesn't work for me.
I use wristlets for going out with the gals. I tend to prefer the larger/longer wristlets so I can fit my phone, keys & camera.
I also put my cards & cash in the little pocket inside to keep it seperate from my phone/keys/camera.
I love them for going out with my friends - because it's SO annoying to bump into people who bring their big-ole ginormous Mary Poppins bags at bars/clubs. (Don't get me wrong, I love big bags and use them when going to and from work or shopping with friends, I just personally don't want my big bags in a smoky bar environment. It's also harder to use big bags in that type of environment b/c it is usually so crowded. I just don't want people bumping into my bag & smushing it, or it coming out smelling like a cigarette)
I also like to take wristlets on quick trips out - like to the grocery store or to run quick errands. I esp. like them for grocery shopping because I don't have to carry a big bag around, it doesn't get in my way, and I don't have to put it on the yucky grocery carts since it's so small.

i use my wristlets while going out cause it fits my phone, ID, cash, cards, keys, and a gloss. I don't like lugging around a purse while out with my friends, and i like not having to worry about forgetting my clutch/purse/whatever if i put it down cause my wristlet is always on my wristlet =)
I use my capacity as a makeup bag in my purses and my sig wristlet as a "candy holder" for the kids so their bribes...I mean treats...don't get on the lining of my purse.
I have 3 wristlets...

i have 3 wristlets in my handbag for daily usage. one for my makeup, one for change, and one for my keys (i find keys can really mark up your handbag lining). i also have a 4th wristlet that i bring along when needed for my garmin. its alot cuter than other GPS cases.
I have several wristlets that are super cute but not getting any use. Just like the OP, I've used wallets my whole life and just don't know what to do with the one open space inside the wristlets.
My Juicy Couture wristlet does have four slots but that's not enough and it closes with a magnetic flap which I don't think is secure enough.
My Coach wristlet has yet to be used, but I love looking at it because I love red!
The only wristlet I own that actually gets used is my Pompidou because it has compartments and slots like a wallet and I bought a skinny black patent belt to use it as a waist bag because the fabric strap that came with it is too long.

I use them much in the way others do here. To prevent stuff from floating in my bag. I don't like my keys and stuff floating around in my bag and banging around on say, my phone. I have a cute coin purse I keep my ipod (3rd generation nano the square one) in with the headphones and then I keep my keys in a wristlet and sometimes depending on the size of the bag I am carrying I have a larger wristlet to for other things. I am one of those people that has tons of bags in their bag.
Larger wristlets are great for when you don't want a bag at all. Just money, card, keys, phone, lip gloss. I do that sometimes but not that often because admittedly I am a person that needs tons of crap with me at all times. lol My Poppy storypatch wristlet has compartments and so does my metallic gold demi clutch so that's nice! There are card slots in them because they are technically wallets I guess? But they have a wrist strap.

I'm with you on the bar thing. I hate going to the pub and every time someone walks by me they bump into my bag. And my bags are not really that big but it just happens. And one time I was sitting at the bar at the pub and a guy was eating dinner next to me and dropped a container of ranch dressing and it splattered everywhere and I can't tell you how close it came to getting one of my bags and it was the first night I had it!! So ya, I pretty much have learned NOT to take my bags to bars/pubs. Also that same night I was out on the patio and some guys cigarette was VERY close to touching my bag. I felt like I was in a war zone! lol
i used to use wristlets as wallets,but i am "trying" to stop this and actually use a wallet lol. right now i own 2 capacity wristlets. this changes as i buy them and sell when i get bored with them. they are not being used at the moment,but when i do use them ut is usually to just run errands.
I use a large capacity wristlet inside my bag for makeup. I use a smaller wristlet for receipts, appointment reminder cards, coupons, business cards, mailbox key, mints, etc. I use a variety of kiss lock coin purses for loose change. I usually hook the coin purse to an interior zipper ring or something so I have easy access to it. I use a wallet for a wallet. Then if I have any other stray items I want organized, then I might throw in another wristlet for that, too. I love my bags being organized, plus it's a fun way to accessorize.
