:laugh: :laugh: i am the same way. i was recommended to invest in a cedar chest to store my bags. my hubbie agrees . something in the cedar that protects them. keeps mildew? away and smells away.:blink:

I use my bags. I am also one of those folks who immediately transfers my belongings into a new bag as soon as I get it. I also have the problem in which I probably won't use the old bag again. I do keep the unused ones in dustbags (and if it was a cheapo bag that had no dustbag, I use an old pillowcase). They're on the top shelf of my closet with my shoes (most of which are still in their original boxes). I don't set my bag on the floor either. I usually keep my bag next to my side of the bed when I retire for the night. Instead of setting it on the floor, I set it down on a pillow on the floor. I keep my bag close to the bed, so in case of an emergency I can grab it.

I am such freak that I have been known to buy 2 of my favorite styles so that I can use one and know that there is a new one at home tucked away. It helps keep me from being quite as anxious about using my purses.
It's ok...you all can say it...I have lost my mind.

Why have them if you are never going to use them? Plus, don't you want the compliments from total strangers on the street? I have had women follow me to ask me about my bag. I use and abuse because my attention span is so short. I figure, by the time next season comes up, I am going to want something new anyway....and never mind next year...the styles will be totally different by then.
