How do you store your keys inside your purse?

I tried using a key pouch and just found it too fiddly to get the keys in and out. I clip them to the D-ring (in bags that have one) and otherwise almost all bags have some kind of inside pocket..

I use a small pouch from Radley of London that says "love me" on one side and "love my dog" on the other for small bags with leather linings. For a large tote, I clip them to a Bottega Veneta lariat I have wrapped around the bag handles and let them hang inside the bag. Unless it's Chanel, I'm not very precious about keys in my bags.

It's more for the other things inside my bags like my wallet and pouches than for the interior of the bag.

If that's the case, then wouldn't keeping keys in either outside or interior compartments work? (if the bag has them; I notice Italian bags aren't big on inside compartments, except for the zipped wall ones)

I've noticed that too, about Italian bags. Just bought a ferragamo hobo on sale for half price and there are no pockets inside, just an attached leather pouch. I haven't used this bag yet and not sure how I feel about the lack of pockets. What do others think??

Most of my bags are BV which have suede linings. They don't get scratched from keys. I use the lanyards that coordinate with the bags and use the *dog leash* snap on the end to hold my keys (and all those pesky store discount cards). I loop it around one side of the strap.
