^^ooh ive never worried or experience mold - maybe ive just been lucky.... making me wonder if i should do something to prevent any in the future! we have a house on the beach in sandbanks and do get lots of erosion on windows/gates etc its amazing how harsh the sea breeze/winds are! we get more mold in the bathrooms there than where i am in the north of england. im very wary of moth prevention and have bought lots of products from total wardrobe care as a moth caused a small hole in my Liza Bruce cashmere kaftan!! i hadnt even worn it! thankfully the repair is amazing - but it makes you want to try to protect everything as much as possible. I keep anti tarnish strips with my H silver........

hermeschicuk: Off topic !! Moths love cashmere. I found out the hard way a few years ago when a few of my cashmere sweaters got chewed out so I'm storing them in clear plastic totes with lots of cedar blocks.

But for bags, since leather is organic like pearls, I let my bags out occasionally to get some fresh air and make sure that I wipe them with a soft cloth after each use before I put them back in the box.

I store my bags stuffed and in the dustbag in my climate controlled closet on glass door enclosed shelves. Here are some pix of the collection in the closet only thing is to show off the bags;) I have the dustbags pulled down.
Off topic but I hang my scarves and store my shawls in a cedar closet. Also, have my cdcs in a jewelery drawer.

Thanks for showing us your closet and those lovely bags. I see that your H bags are mostly darker colors. It is like walking into a H store !!

Great pics.

^^ Although I tried to experiment with color, I am a neutral girl at heart. Also, I mainly carry my birkins in fall and winter, a tiny bit into Spring and never in summer. My birkins are 35s and are black box ghw, black chevre phw, marron fonce chevre ghw and natural barenia with brushed palladium. My Kellys are 28s and are black box ghw and raisin chevre phw, The lindys are 30s and are adroise swift phw and blue brighton ghw and finally the little bolide is fuschia chevre!

Absolutely agree! I'm terrified of moths so had this cedar cabinet put in. I store my cashmere and wool sweaters in pullout drawers below and my cashmere and wool shawl on the top.

Thanks everyone...we had to be creative and put something that will somehow be functional and go complement what we already have furniture-wise. It was a bit tricky and the only thing going for us is that the master's bedroom is enormous enough to accommodate a sitting area, entertianment area and pseudo-computer area...plus it's nice to view them readily for instant appreciation. LOL! Thanks again everyone...her shoe collection however had to be moved to another area in the rear entry of our service room area.

Mr. Petpringles, thanks for all the pics. I think you're one of the few husbands that support the wife's collection of H bags.

Rockerchic - you have a beautiful collection! (I'm a neutral gal too.) Also, I like your sense of organization and care taken in such. I'm inspired! Thank you for the wonderful photos.

Wow! Thanks so much for sharing!

Out of their bags and boxes and lined up on a few shelves inside my armoire. I stuff them with down travel pillows instead of those plastic inserts they come with....

A beautiful collection that works, Rocker! (Another neutral lover here). Thanks for sharing. And I spy lovely pinks and purple amongst your scarf/shawl (that's how I add colours too).

Yup mooks...I posted this earlier. My wife's dressing room and 3 closets are full of clothes. I don't really want them in boxes as she will not use them if not seen. So in the sitting area of our bedroom, we decided to put a display case...one with her Leibers and one with her Birkins and other H Items. The lights inside the display case are rarely on as we are afraid of any colors fading. Mrs. PP was on a mission to find a display case to replace the temporary Ikea makeshift case I put together. Definitely a bigger dressing room for the wife if we ever move to a new house! Anyway, here are some pictures:

Maybe its better if you never move to bigger house as the more space you have, the more Mrs P will need to buy to fill the space!!!!
