heheheeee!! My last two purchases, the BJ Kelly and Birkin hid in the closet for some time but he caught me letting a girlfriend sneak a peek at them:laugh: I always have to make my "reveal" to him before I ever bring it here lol!

Without using your nestegg > First off sell off what you do not need want or use (other designer bags etc..) and see what you have to work with money wise..if you need more $$$ start adding into your fund with some play cash/mad money (so to speak.).start with buying a vintage bag at a good price and then later if you still want something newer or a different style trade up this way you won't lose you investment.

how Are You Able To Afford Such Expensive Designer Bags?

i Need To Know The Secret. The Average American Can Not Afford Such Goods, And I Dont Want To Go Into Nay Debt-debt Free?

Honestly, I can't afford an Hermes bag beyond the Evelyne without saving up, and THANK YOU GOD, they don't make a single bag that works for me. Not a one! It does surprise me, but I'm mostly happy that I'm not drooling over something that would pay for 1/3 of a car.

I'm also lucky that--most likely--by this time next year, my Hermes collection will be complete, and I'll move on to something else. Or just invest the money instead.

At the end of the day, it always comes down to how you want to spend your discretionary income, and if that income is high, you can spend it any old way you want with plenty left over.

I would love to buy a Birkin, Kelly, and a Chanel handbag, but I would need to save up for several years just to afford one of them. While I have no doubt that one day I will own these bags, I absolutely cannot afford them now. I wouldn't dream of purchasing something with a credit card if I couldn't pay it off by the next billing cycle.

1) Not everyone's in the USA.
2) There's no secret really.
3) Most (maybe it's all??) H collectors don't go into debt or buy on credit.

I think from here you may be able to make your own conclusions?

I was told when there's wealth, H collection swells. :roflmfao:

JASS There's no secret. Either you can afford one or you can't or don't want to. If you save $22.00 a day (as Elizabethk writes) you can have one in one year but that's only if you really WANT one. Otherwise, you can piss away that very same amount on junk daily.

When I buy h bags (from resellers), I only pay via cash. Can't buy h bags on credit! Interest is waaaaaay too high.

Before becoming a stay home mom, I had a relatively high paying job and in my imdustry, bonus used to be good. So I just use that. And I also sell my other bags on ebay to help fund.
