How do you feel aboout carrying a mini bag

I'll carry a mini bag if the outfit or occasion calls for it... But if I'm headed to the office, there will always be a tote not too far away containing the (other) essentials.

I like seeing them on other people but not for me. For work, I need a biggish bag while on the weekends, I usually go out with my family (3 boys under 10) so I still need a bag that is bigger than a mini.
If on the rare occasions I go out without the kids, I just use my pochette accessoires with a crossbody chain.

I love smaller bags but I'm not sure if what I carry is considered a mini bag. I have been drawn to smaller styles lately but they need to carry my wallet, sunglasses, a small case, phone, etc. I have a Coach mini borough that I use all the time and have found that to be perfect for running errands or when I am out and about. That said, my life still requires too much stuff so I also have a Longchamp that is in use to carry my other things.

I don't like being bogged down when I am out during the day, and although I have some totes that I love, I just don't love toting tons of stuff unless I need to for some specific reason (work, etc).

I think mini bags are super cute, but I find them expensive for what they are. I mean, it makes sense that they're expensive... The same amount of craftsmanship goes into a bag whether it's small or large (the same number of pieces have to be sewn together, the same hardware added, etc), but it's hard to shell out a few hundred for something so small. I probably feel that way because I usually go for larger bags - if I wore mini bags everyday, I would be happy to spend on them!

I only own mini bags and I'm always on the hunt for more to add to my very small collection. I am the type of person that likes to carry just my phone and cards so I often opt for small bags that can be worn cross body or on the shoulder. I had a rockie bag that I recently sold because it was even too big for what I carry. I typically only carry my phone, card holder, tissues, anti-bac, small pouch with makeup, sunglasses case and portable phone charger.

That said though I need to find one that fits an umbrella haha

Oh wow, you manage it really well! I'm quite impressed how much fits in there. Seems like it looks small from the outside, but if you use your space as well as you do then it's totally manageable :)
Thanks! I do live in an area where driving is commonplace (and it never rains and everywhere gives bottles of water), so it reduces a lot of what I'd need to carry.

I really hate tiny bags. I'm an adult, I'm 5'8" and I regularly wear 4" heels. So they look like I'm wearing a child's bag. I have a hard limit on size. Anything much under 7" x 6" x 2" is dead to me. The smallest I can go is my Gucci Soho Mini Chain Bag (oval). It just fits my necessities. But because of its small size, it's a special use bag. Not an every day bag.

To me, wearing a micro mini bag is like wearing designer shoes that pinch. It could be a cute look but, the "pain" of not being able to carry even a phone or sunglasses isn't worth the fashion benefits.

So, while I favor small / medium bags, I won't ever carry anything that won't fit a minimum of my wallet, phone and sunglasses - at the same time - with ease.
