Hi everyone! I've been carrying my Givenchy Mini Antigona for the past 6 months now or my Mini A satchel from KS Saturday and am awaiting for the arrival of my Mini Valentino Rockstud in black. My back thanks me, it made my life easier not fishing around for items and things are lighter too! I do not bring unnecessary junk anymore, just the essentials (and maybe a little bit more, if really needed). I use my mini bags every single damn day and I love the freedom it gives me:graucho::cool:. I never went back to my tote bags or satchels at all. No regrets. How do you ladies/guys feel about carrying a smaller bag for everyday?

I used to carry a mini bag every day for years. I don't think they work well for people who don't drive (hence have a car to leave things like a cardi, umbrella, sunglasses, book, change of top for the evening etc in) or who are going from one place to another and requite strategic packing. For instance, do you realise how many umbrellas (mini/folded included) I have had to buy/borrow just because my mini wouldn't accommodate. And then there is the extra bottle of water. I used to end with a mini and another bag

I agree with papertiger. I only use my mini bags when I know I won't be out the whole day. Or movies night, quick meals, for casual drinks with friends in evening. But when I just purchased any new mini, I do wear them more often....like for few weeks straight. Then back to my larger bag for daily use.

I switch my bags out depending on where I am going. On days I don't need to take as much, I wear a smaller bag, and on days where I need to carry a lot I go for something bigger.

Living in NYC, I don't drive either, but a mini bag is all I really need if I'm just going out to lunch/coffee or dinner and drinks. Especially if I'm stopping home throughout the day, I could use a mini bag all day and be fine.

I do have a long commute though and like to bring a book which is why I usually carry something slightly bigger.

I have a couple of mini bags that I use depending on what I am doing that day. Like the previous poster, if I carry a mini bag then I also have another bag or tote on standby in the car.

Papertiger is right on the money!
I commute everywhere so I usually carry a tote or a large shoulder bag for work and whenever I'm going anywhere else than grocery shopping or a date with friends.
I need to fit my agenda, wallet, "what if"-pouch (medication, tissue, bandaids, foldable hairbrush, perfume etc etc), sunnies, makeup bag, snacks, water bottle and also umbrella and/or scarf. Lately I have been rocking a warm rainproof coat to cut back on the extra gear though.
My work takes me around the country every day, so I can't just leave anything behind at the office because I might be 400 km away when I need it. I also carry a backpack for paperwork, money and safety gear so it's a lot of stuff to lug around! I love my job but it's taking its toll on my shoulders and neck, so a mini bag is a nice way to "celebrate" my days off. :smile1:

If I am indeed going to go out for a short while and won't be buying anything (as in, I don't need to put anything in my bag to keep it from getting lost - I also hate having to carry several bags so prefer to put my shopping in a large handbag) I gravitate towards my tiny bags. My wallet is pretty small and every now and then, I switch into a mini to make my bag even lighter. I love the way a tiny bag is light and I don't have to worry about my bag knocking over anything like I have to with a huge tote.

I own a couple clutch wallets. Originally bought as evening bags--found optional chains made great for crossbody day wear.
I like them. Especially in horrible weather, under coats, or when burning miles on foot through busy locales.
I don't carry an extra bag. They hold essentials & phone. They feel sparky & freeing.

I'm not attracted to mini bags. They are tiny, like doll or child purses.
But, clutch wallets are versatile & look adult.
Otherwise, I like a full bag to hold gathered detritus. On the days when I am a cafe slug or a workhorse.

I think the definition of mini can vary somewhat, some out there a lipstick would be hard pressed to fit into and those to me are useless.

Generally though, i am not a big purse carrier.. i am very petite and large bags overwhelm me .. i mainly own smaller purses compared to most, in winter though i do need a bit larger to accommodate winter wear accessories as i prefer to put them in my bag vs my pockets to reduce risk of losing them.

All of my bags are mini size. Most days, I can just carry a clutch. I don't leave anything in my car either. Mini bags suit my minimalistic lifestyle the best. I am ecstatic that designers are now starting to produce micro bags that I love. In the past, it was very hard to find a bag small enough to fit my needs. Now, my choices are endless.

I can't do mini either. The smallest bag I own is a Bal Hip.
It's ok when I walk my dogs, but that's it.

My essentials are a pair of glasses, wallet, keys, phone and tissues. I can't even fit that into my Bal hip so I find myself using porte monnaies when I use it. Not my favorite thing.

I love mini bags! They need to be big enough to hold my giant sunglasses. I don't do wallets - I just carry a few cards and my phone, keys and sunglasses. If I need to carry more, I choose a bag big enough to hold the extras I need.

I can't do mini satchels though. They look like little girl bags on me. My mini bags are usually shoulder bags or crossbodies. The proportions have to be just right so they don't look too tiny on me - generally they are wider than tall.
