How do you display your Coach bags or store them?

STOPPPPPPPPPPPPP gals on here have way more than that - I am just a toddler compared to some ;)

Hmmm, well, if your a toddler then I must be an infant! lol!

I'm not a collector of Coach bags persay, I see one I like, I get it (eventually). I use it and if I like it, I keep it. If I don't like it, I sell it....and I DON'T pay FP for them so I can get my money back if I end up not liking it. I don't hang on to them just to see how many I can collect up.

Now fobs, that's another story. Got nearly 200 of them puppies. Once again, if I get one and I'm not that crazy about it and it doesn't 'fit in' or 'look good' in my collection, it's gone.

I need another or one larger bc some bags are in closets!!!
How do you tell where a particular bag is? Mine looks something like this and even though I have tried to arrange them by color, I still end up having to look through a bunch of dustbags to find the one I want. And the floppy, flat ones have to be stored on their sides so they end up being stacked.

Go to Walmart and look in the office supplies area. Get a pack of paper tags. Remove the string off the tag and replace with a small safety pin. Write the name of the purse on it. I put them on the drawstring of the dustbag, but you could pin them on the bag itself. Fast, cheap and simple.

Or if you want something with more "umph", get a pack of the large clear tags that you can slide id's in. Print a photo of the bag and put it in the clear tag/Id holder and hang on the bag.....clear tags are also found in the office supply area.

Hey there tPFers!

I just wanted to ask a question to all of you lovelies out there! How do YOU store your bags? What I mean by this? Where do you put them/how do you put them away when they are not being used? I don't know if I am buying too many bags (NEVER!) or my closet is shrinking on me, but it seems that I am running out of space to store everything.

Pictures are very much welcome as I do love to see how people stay organized (as well as your beautiful collections and closet displays!) Also mainly because I am a visual person.

So, please! I want to hear from YOU! How do you store your bags away?!

This is a good question! I think, for me, the most important thing is to maintain my bags' structure and leather quality. To do this I always make sure to stuff the bag and put it in a dust bag, and then put it somewhere it's not being exposed to extreme temperatures or humidity. I think I'm buying too many shoes because the bottom of my closet is full of them and I don't have much room for some kind of bag storage shelf. Don't get me started on how much room my coats take up.. I have a dedicated corner in the bedroom for my bags and they're sitting beside one another in their dust bags. It's not the most aesthetically pleasing storage system...I need more space maybe or to reorganize my things...but at least it keeps my bags in great condition. Ultimately I think I just don't have enough room to beautifully store everything >:

Mine is not visually appealing, unless like me you prefer not to see a bunch of visual "clutter". I keep my bags stuffed with heavy paper or air paper, handles if removeable removed and in bag, and with a silica packet inside for longer term storage - I do live in a dry climate but you never know. I will also condition/clean leather bags if they are going to be "sleeping" for a while or have just had some rather heavy use. Then they go in their dust bags.

I keep some, usually about half my collection but it depends on where I am "rotating", at home on top shelf of one of my closets in a spare room where I keep other less used items - dresses, luggage, my 8-year old wedding dress (ha). The door to the closet is closed to protect them from sunlight, but there is still lots of air circulation.

I keep the other half at work in my office in a cupboard/large drawers I can keep locked up when I am not there.

My self-imposed bag limit is 20. I have 19 at the moment. Right now they are split rather evenly between the two locations.

Reasons I keep some at work? Gives me more breathing room at home, and I can switch out wherever I am - I spend a lot of time at work so sometimes that is best place to switch!

Bags I am using currently go in my closet by door when I get home...smaller bags on top shelf on top of a scarf laid flat. Totes/larger bags on top rack of a shoe shelf.

I can update next week with my at-work storage, unless I go in and work this weekend, but here is my home shelf!

And my bags in current rotation; sorry for fuzzy photos but my phones camera can be awful at times:

Had to go into work today after all, so here is the current setup of my work cupboard; I actually moved my bags into the drawers last week as they used to be on the upper shelves (with doors).

Top drawer. I just got the Samorgas on Friday, but I will probably actually store them inside the bags (my Speedy B 30, and one of my Rogue Satchels maybe).

I even have a handful of tassels/charms at work for when I switch!:

I have a large bookcase that I store my bags on, in their dustbags. I store wristlets and wallets in drawers. My charms and keychains are hanging on curtain rods on the wall, except for some that are in plastic bead boxes.

Mine are mostly on shelves and drawers in "the purse closet" in my girl cave (that's what I'm calling it because hubby has a man cave.) The ones I'm using are just hanging out downstairs.

I'm bad about using the dustbag to store, but do make sure not to cram the bags together- no turn locks or embellishments are poking into other bags.

Oh, what is that woven brown bag in the second photo? I like it!
