My preferred way to carry bags is in my right hand (I'm left-handed), but I very frequently slip them up to the crook of my right arm if necessary. Hand-carried bags are my favorite styles overall.

I also carry bags on my right shoulder, if I need my hands freer than that allows, or if I'm carrying a shoulder style (though I also have many shoulder-carry bags that I hold in my hand--even though I'm short I like to do this with a lot of my bags).

I don't wear crossbodies a ton, and I prefer bags designed with an adjustable strap so I can wear them long on my right shoulder instead of crossbody. But crossbody is helpful sometimes and I do do it when I need to be extra super duper hands-free.

I love to carry my bags on the bend of my right arm, I think it's the classiest look. However since the bags I carry are somewhat large for my frame (I'm 5'2") and can get heavy, I prefer satchels that have a detachable crossbody. I end up wearing the bag both ways throughout the day. I also like the option of bags that fit on my shoulder as well. I really just like bags that are versatile overall. It usually bothers me if there is no crossbody strap that is removable. I am loving that red Dooney!! It's beautiful. What is the info on it? My friend loves Dooneys but I don't know much about the bags. And also love your Willis :) I have the same in Natural, it's a wonderful bag
It is the small Red Florentine Satchel by Dooney and Bourke. I love it, beautiful bag.

A shoulder strap for me is a must. I have two kids, and I need to be hands-free. Also, it's a pain to shop for clothes with only one hand. I carry my bag on my right shoulder, and I'm right handed. My mother told me that was the wrong way to carry it.
For my kids' sporting events, I wear cross-body. Less of a hassle at games. I mostly hand carry clutches and small bags for church. I don't like taking my everyday bag to church. Just the way I was raised.

Omg, OT but I LOVE that white blouse you're wearing in the second pic - so chic! :D :p

I'm an all-sorts when it comes to carrying: over shoulder (classic flaps), cross-body on long strap when travelling (Paraty), crook of arm (short handle totes/satchel styles) or by hand (everything).

Whatever works with the bag and the occasion

Just on my hand no matter what type of bag it is. When I'm travelling, I only use crossbody bags. I have shoulder problems so I have been advised not to carry so much weight on my shoulders.
