how do u tell if handbags authentic or fake?

Ok I living thru process of buying christian dior handbag that is fake! I'm in proceedings with ebay on the matter. My question is and the "authentic handbags" how do u tell? is there a process for determining the real from the fake by pix and description? there is like lots of "authentic dior bags" posted on ebay, one lady I emailed and asked to send me pix of medallion and she replied with" I can't post pix on ebay but she emailed me pix from like far away, so I passed any tips would be helpful here!!!!
