I only feel uncomfortable about the price of my Love when OTHER people point it out on me and then say “omg so you spent $xxxx??” It feels like a spotlight is on me and I hate it, I would rather just wear the bracelet in peace.

I'm not OP but you hit the nail on the head for me! That is what turns me off of the love bracelet more than anything. I have wanted one for a long time and have the means for one, but I can't pull the trigger. Do you feel like that happens often to you? Maybe not people outwardly saying it but clearly taking notice (in a negative way)?

I wouldn’t say super often but enough so that I go back and forth about buying another even though I would really like to build a stack! It’s so tacky when people call you out like you did something wrong lol. But i still don’t regret buying it and wearing it every single day, those are just the only moments when I’m like ooh awkward. You should definitely get it if you really want it! It also showed me how people really felt bc a friend would just be happy for you

Right!! It’s just uncomfortable and really shows you how someone feels. Fully agree! You have one life, just live it

Hi!! I'm in the same situation. I went to college, graduated and got a good job. but I think I will disappoint my parents if I buy the bracelet, because I think they may want bigger and more important things than a love bracelet, you know? How to buy a car or a house. here in Brazil, Cartier is soooo expensive. The bracelet is something I really want and for me it will be like the symbol of an achievement, both personal and professional
I hope we get a light on how to go
I love Brazil so much  I visited Rio de Janeiro several time already, it is an amazing city!! I hope to go on vacation to Fortaleza (and many other places) with my family one day :)
It depends where you leave, my only concern with this bracelet would be the ability to remove it easily. I would rather go for the cuff :) and it is a little cheaper ;)
But priorities first. I was 35 when I received mine and had already purchased a flat with my husband. Plus had also started planning for my retirement (yes Swiss people love planning things quite in advance ).
I truly enjoy mine everyday since I have it. And it is true that once you have kids, it can be more difficult to get one.
However, it is my most loved peace of jewelry and totally worth the investment. But as said by many other, one better have a solid financial position before affording such luxury.
And by the way, I consider this purchase a much better buy then a Chanel bag for example. Although I am happy for those who can afford and enjoy both.
You are still young and have plenty of time to have one one day :flowers:

No problem!! My friend is spending a year in Brasil for work and loves it so far. I hope to visit one day! I thought my mom would also be upset so I never told her I bought it but when she saw it she was actually impressed with me spending $ on something that will last forever rather than clothes or something

I only got into the bracelets a few years ago and so far have received a new one every year for 3 years. But, my husband said no more for now as we are saving up to buy our home this year. The initial purchase we felt guilty because it was an impulse buy while passing through Heathrow. But over the next year my husband loved seeing it on my wrist and he felt I got more bang for our buck since I am constantly wearing it, unlike purses which I will occasionally rotate out. I think that's why he was happy to get me additional ones, but again, it might be the end for me for a bit. Other than the initial first twinge of guilt on that first bracelet, I can't say I felt it again since. I have no regrets and enjoy wearing and staring at my bracelets!

Some are gifts from my mom, but my Love bracelet I actually bought myself; after a nice commission check at work haha.

It was hard to bite the bullet the first time, but once I saw the value in my Love and how otherwise $7k comes and goes rather quickly between bills and normal spending, I was hooked.

I made a monthly saving plan for the Love specifically - aka money dedicated to it after all sensible financial targets are met. It's still a huge chunk of money to blow in one go but I then tell myself I've allocated funds to it specifically, and it's comparable to the spending others might do on finance (e.g. brand new BMW or an expensive holiday).

Personally I think it's those monthly spending people do which is deceptively expensive. 200 bucks a month on finance for a new car might seem cheap, but when you add it all up (e.g. fees, interest payments, insurance) it's actually quite a lot.

Oh, and I drive a crappy car because I just don't care about them. I think it cost less than the Love bracelet haha.
