How about this price for a second-hand LV?

I'd like to take a speedy 25 from one of my friend. It has been bought in 2006, and used 2-3 times/week for two years. This handbag is normal wear and tear, and the handle turns a little bit to black.

How about $275 for this? The official site for this is $665. Thank you.

I would say it's a decent deal. But if the handles are anywhere near black, then perhaps it is not. Just my opinion!

This thread will probably be moved into LV, but yes. LV will replace the vachetta for you (handles, piping) and the cost varies. It certainly wouldn't hurt to give them a call before you fork over $275, then have to pay $300 to have the leather changed.

If the condition of the vachetta is so bad that it requires replacement (= spending extra $$$), then I think it's better to pay a bit more for one in better condition, if not brand new. Just my personal opinion.

I wouldn't buy a Speedy with dirty, very dark handles. Too much involved in getting them cleaned or replaced.

You could probably find a decent 25 on the bay for 300 bucks...

Are the Handles REALLY dirty? Any Pics? Mine turned blackish in Winter from wearing my leather gloves, I got them all cleaned up with non-alcoholic baby wipes. And Magic eraser works too.

I agree with everyone else if the handles are gross and black, you could just get a new one for the price of new vachetta!
